Update carrier settings..

Hey guys, each time I open itunes I get the following messages telling me to upgrade my carrier settings, I've updated a thousand times but the message keeps popping up when I connect my phone to itunes.

Please help!
 
Yap, done that already, friend of mine is experiencing the exact same problem.

Anyway, will try google again.
 
me too, it is annoying.. did a fresh restore to see if it helps and to fix the tether issue I had.
 
I am experiencing the exact same thing! At first I had no internet connection at all, I then changed the APN manually to 'internet' and that seemed to work. I still do not have tethering at all and itunes keeps popping up the carier settings message... Is it possible that Vodacom may not be up to speed with ios 4.0 yet?
 
I think I have found the problem, at least for the update carrier issue! I did a restore and set up as a new phone in itunes, the carrier settings updated once and changed to Vodacom 7.1 in 'about' I then proceded to jailbreak with Redsnow 9.5 and when that was done the vodacom carrier settings went back to 7.0, I dont have tethering at this stage and itunes keeps asking to update the setting but it just stays at 7.0...

Anybody have any ideas?

i think it's a jailbreak bug, it happens when I use redsnow I did a clean restore and now I'm fine again but if I jailbreak with redsnow it returns.
