Upgrade GPU or buy PS5

I had all the PS's other than the PS4 so I'm pretty Sony when it comes to consoles but my SO only got the xbox because you can't actually get a PS5 (not sure if this is still the case) and I have been pretty impressed with it.

Granted I play Slay the Spire on repeat while on calls in front of the TV which has been been great but that doesn't tax the xbox too hard.

For all the proper gaming I use my PC.

I think you see my love for GamePass as love for Xbox.

I'm pretty much a hardcore PC gamer / casual console with a new toy. In about 12 months I'm pretty sure my consoles will both collect dust again, or basically as soon as I can get a proper gaming PC again. I just can not get into FPS using a controller.

Edit: Hell for more than 2 years I did not even notice that my SO lend out my PS3 :D

Please besides the David Cage games what are the story driven games from Sony? Yes they are pretty and they are different from the Xbox ones, but what with Microsoft now owning Bethesda and snapping up more and more studios, Sony is going to end up like Nintendo where you will get some great exclusives, but that's it. Third party will always run better on Xbox. So yeah go for those exclusives, but remember you're going to be getting a sub-par third party experience.
But I think after the snore-fest of Last of Us and the same same of God of War I was like I'm done with Sony. Especially with their plan on BC being hey you want to play that PS3 game again, why not buy it again. But with my Xbox, I can play games I bought with my 360 way back in 2005 if I wanted to.

IGN give the snore fest a 10/10. Guess I’ll go with @Lupus on this one with his vast experience. Fanboy score 1/10. Get a grip, we get it you got an Xbox and now because you own one it’s the best thing in the world.
 
I got a pretty basic gaming PC (only a GTX 1060), and got the Xbox Series X. I sold it after a month ... just didn't enjoy it as much as PC gaming. A critical factor to enjoy the XSX or PS5 is that you have to have a 4K TV capable of a 120fps refresh rate ... which not many currently support. I didn't have that, so my old FHD TV just did not do the XSX any justice. I only really play CS:GO so I'm not your average bleeding edge PC gamer anyway lol ... your mileage may vary based on all of the above.
 
I see Final Fantasy VII the Remake is free on PSN Plus. Almost bought it a little while ago. R1400..... :)

Its also on GamePass /hides.

I uninstalled faster than it loaded :D ..... I can see the appeal, just not my type of game.

I do think that both services (Xbox Gold & PS Plus) this month felt like scraping the bottom of the barrel.

The VII remake is PS4/5 exclusive? You might be confusing it with a different FF...god knows there are a lot

It's a timed exclusive for PS. 10 April it comes to Xbox, per a quick Google. Whether it will be on your beloved GP, and for how long before it is removed, well, you can let us know.

But I certainly don't agree that PS Plus is scraping the bottom of the barrel this month.

Sony being quite clever - giving it away on Plus a month before it comes out on other platforms.

I agree that an XBox Series X is overkill for an FHD/1080p TV - for that you could have saved some cash and got an XBOX Series S. I don't have 4K monitors attached to my PC so this isn't a relevant consideration for me.

I do have a 4K TV that is 60hz/some funky magic to make it appear to be 120hz, and my experience with my own XBOX Series X has been incredible. I'm loving it, and at this stage I literally cannot wait for Outriders to be released on 01 April. PS and PC gamers are going to be paying around R799 for this I believe, but it'll be 'free' with GamePass. It's probably not a game I would have bought, but given that I just have it, I'm going to play it. For me, GamePass has been AMAZING value.

I also have a GTX 1060 that cant play games consistently in stable fashion without crashing every so often, so wanted to ask what drivers you're currently running? I like gaming on PC as well but need to get this card operating stabily.
