Urbanol

I dont know what that medicine is for put I assume its for anxiety.

My wife had EXTREME anxiety and she was very very socially awkward. I started reading up on microdosing with shrooms and she was excited to start it.

When I say she struggled with anxiety and socially awkward I mean that she was not even able to send me a whatsapp. She would type the entire message and just never send it. It became a problem at her work as she could never make calls or even reply to emails.

She has been microdosing for almost 2 months now and there is not a trace of anxiety or social awkwardness and she is also excelling at work and very very creative.

It has also made a very big positive impact in our relationship.

I know this has nothing to do with the medicine that was prescribed to you but you come across as someone that is open minded to alternative ideas.

Goodluck and I hope you feel better soon.

Love you

I don't know about shrooms. Can you tell more. I took urbanol for 2 weeks, it halped, wanted to get more, but now I am scared, because obviously I don't want to get addicted..
Please give some advice..

Whats shocking is how many of us out there have mental disorders of some sort, something very ****ed up in society

I think society has changed so much that we also don't equip ourselves good enough to cope with everything. Not an easy situation..

My Ex-wife was bpd, during the relationship she pulled me into clinical depression which I am still suffering from, I also suffer from bad anxiety attacks. I also developed social phobia that makes me so anxious before going to the shops that I vomit. My psychiatrist have given me urbanol a couple of times since the divorce, this is over 5 years ago, I am back on it at the moment, but it is to help me calm down as I lost my dad to brain cancer in October last year and it is only really hitting me now. Everyone goes through some kind of mental illness/ lapse, some are lucky enough to have it for only a short period of time, others like yourself and me go through it every day. Don't be afraid to take it. If it helps let it help. If it doesn't speak to your Dr quick to change that med to something different.

Thank you very much for sending me this... it really helps... I have also just spoken to a previous doctor of mine to ask advice.. and then she said that depends on the amount that you are taking a day. If you take 3 tablets of 10 or 15 mg a day, then you must get worried.. But they are the best on the market at the moment and ideally you would want to wean yourself off it if you can, when it is time, but try to be ultimately on not more than 1 5mg tablet a day.. But also even if you are not taking any, but if you feel anxious take 1 so that it can help you..

Anyone here on urbanol?

I've just been put onto it, over and above my other meds, and I feel like a complete zombie. I take 5mg morning and afternoon.

How long do these side effects take until your system gets used to them, if ever? My anxiety is dissipating but I feel drunk and I don't want to
I haven't taken Urbanol, but was on Bromazapam for two years. They are both of the benzo family. STAY AWAY!!!!!
The evils of this drug is legendary, except doctors and psychiatrists don't tell you about it for various reasons.
The website Benzo. org.uk will tell you all you need to know about this terrible medication. Good luck.

Try an SNRI (serotonin and neuroepinefrine) combined inhibitor - it treats the "happiness" neurotransmitter as well as the "fight or flight feeling scared to death" neuro transmitter.

I recently went onto Duloxetine, it does help but I am hating some of the side effects.

Side effects were bad for 2 weeks for me, then bliss.

Maybe GP needs to try another drug. It's a hit and miss trial and error thing.

Hmm.

My doctor has just upped my Urbanol intake to 30mg a day, one 10mg three times a day. On top of that is also 75mg Trepiline at night.

I've been taking it now for a week, and the sedation is still too great, like this dosage seems like a mass f-up on someones side as I am not able to function, at all.

Now the doc wants to put me on Methylphenidate to counter the sedation.

Should I take his advice and judgement or should I look at getting another opinion?

I was on an anti dep for anxiety and i recently took myself off, let me tell you in my opinion these ****ing drugs are evil and should never be prescribed.
Firstly the side effects are terrible and then ty come off this ****, brain zaps and whatever else.
EVIL EVIL EVIL
These pills are way to easy for a doc to give someone, doesnt help of fix the problem

Watch out for any Benzo. Longer than 6 weeks on it and you are going to have withdrawals. Benzos are terrible drugs. Check out Benzo. org. UK.

I was on this
Duloxetine is a selective serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI) antidepressants used for treating depression, anxiety disorder, and pain. ... Duloxetine works by preventing the reuptake of serotonin and epinephrine by nerves after they have been released.

Absolute bloody poison.
If people think these pills are the solution or answers to their problems they are seriously mistaken

Problem is that if your GP is prescribing these then he is only treating symptoms and not looking at the big picture.
Apart from side effects these drugs can induce other psychiatric disorders.

Best is to see a psychiatrist who knows how to mix and match these drugs.

Yeah its basically just for Migraines and anxiety.

But I seriously think the dosage is way, way to high.

I'm in recovery as well, clean 3 years, and this just seems like its going to be way to easy to fall back into that life.

At this point I think I should forget the Urbanol and stick to the treps. I've been awake since 5am and I am still barely able to stay awake, didnt even take the tabs this am. I may as well be acting in The Walking Dead.

And even then you have to be careful. My so called psychiatrist put me on 12mg benzos for two years!!! Psychiatry is not a science people!!!

See? You've found your purpose, zombie roles in movies now you can be happier for it as not everyone finds their life purpose :)

Psychiatrists have a check list, based on how you answer, you get prescribed x or y. They really do not solve anything except their next holiday down-payment.

It's truly pathetic how easily they prescribe these meds which had serious side effects.

Sure they have their place during a stressful period but beyond that should never be prescribed chronically

I have been on benzos, ssris etc and they stunt certain emotions but at the risk of side effects and knock on effects even the psychiatrists don't understand

With that being said, I still havent found a cure to my lack of motivation, drive and general apathy.

I pop a stimulant with coffee.. Go about my day in a manic state, come home, lay in bed till the next day. Something has to chance

I can't remember what it feels like to be happy again. Every day is zombie mode

This leads me to believe that something is fundamentally wrong with society and therefore, US.

It manifests in various mental disorders and issues

Don't even suggest weed to me cos all it does is make me see things for what they really are. How we pretend, the fakeness in interactions

I typed alot

Why doesn't he just reduce the number of pills you take?
