I flying out tomorrow and have a US sim that I want to use in my S3 that has Whatsapp registered with my SA nuumber.
I know the number of the US Sim. If i pop the US sim in when I get there how will I be able to use whatsapp on my phone- I do not want to delete and reinstall.
Thanks in advance

You wouldn't need to re-register or anything like that- Whatsapp will just use whatever data connection your phone is using at the time, AFAIK.

I have used different SIMs in my devices, whilst still communicating via the same Whatsapp account.

You want to use WhatsApp with your SA ir US number?

If it's the SA number, then it will work as normal after changing the SIM, unless you re-register it to the new number.

I want to use it with my US number in my SA phone that has WA registered.

I was recently in the UK & used a UK sim - All it will do when you pop your new sim in is ask you if you want to register that number for whatsapp & viola you will be conected - you won't lose your other conversations either - when you come back just put your other sim back in again & reregister that number

why dont u just use the wifi and switch the data off so that you can only use the sim for calls and such

Just insert the Sim and whatsapp will continue working...so even though you will have a US sim you will still use Whatsapp on your SA number...

This will work. I have done it in the past.
