Ah, another classic case of left-wing double-think (thanks Orwell for that beautiful word btw). Thanks to social media, the hypocrisy is given much more daylight. Exactly like the advice to avoid all crowds except if it's a BLM protest, then it's perfectly fine.

This is the correct definition. It really isn’t related to morality. Hannibal Lechter is a classy serial killer.

A high quality leader cannot possibly be one that indiscriminately kills.

Hannibal is classy for a serial killer. Funny enough, so is Obama, what he is not though is a classy president.

The role dictates the expected level of morality, one who fails at that cannot be regarded as high quality in said role.

They believe that leaders have to make decisions according to consensus, otherwise they're a bloodthirsty dictator or something.

Trump wanted to postpone the election unilaterally because he was scared that he would lose. He was roundly rebuked by his own party for that. Jacinda agreed to postpone their election because she was being unfairly advantaged. You don’t think the distinction is important?

Incorrect.

That's not double think at all, the situations are different.

In New Zealand it's the opposition National Party that has argued the election should be delayed, (they think Ms Ardern had an unfair advantage) so for her to agree to the oppositions request is conciliatory.

This is not the case in the US where everyone except Trump wants the election to go ahead. If he tries to postpone it despite that, it autocratic.

See the difference?

The funny thing about this mail in ballot push?

Well we know the young (18 - 34) are overwhelmingly Democratic but they are also the nation's laziest voters in terms of turnout. Now, to get an absentee ballot is also far more admin than simply pitching up on Election Day (there are timelines involved etc.). Some of them are going to wake up 3rd of November wondering why they can't vote by mail on the day and then laughably claim their right to vote has gone !
