If it was affordable, it means you will be able to lose it without facing hardship. Thus, defeating the point of bail in the first place.

It is a complex issue. For example, I don't think it serves the needs of anyone if the bail amount is too low or too high.

In my book, the amount needs to be high enough such that you do actually have to need other people to help you pay for it (if you a horrid person to everyone around you and no-one is willing to help you, you should have a problem).
On the other hand, it should be low enough that the group of people with a vested interest in that person's freedom can actually afford it if they want to.

The proviso with this is
1) The bail is placed into an interest-bearing account.
2) Only people with a first party connection to the suspect can post their bail.

Yup, tend to agree with that.

She was killed, and according to you she is not a victim, i.e. She deserved what she got due to her associating with people who may or may not have even been guilty of an offence - "execution" seems to fit quite well.

Let's clarify your view - if anyone guilty of any crime is shot dead by the police, regardless of circumstance, would you consider the victim? How serious does a crime have to be before you consider that them being killed doesn't make them a victim?
Didn't say she deserved anything. I said it was an accident and that she was the suspect in the case. Both can be true.

If you were in the officers position and someone opened fire on you, what would you do? Very easy to play these hypothetical scenarios when it is not in the heat of the moment.

This will at least mitigate this era of GoFundMe for popular causes.

The problem is your requirement for other people to assist disadvantages people with a smaller family/friend group so again opening an inequality.

Reports are coming out that a dead body was found in a car which was rented under her name , she was a person of interest because of receiving mail for the ex bf annnnnnndddddd 8k cash was found along with information about drug dealing at the premises.
Those cops did very well and managed the situation.

No proof at the moment but time will tell.

I would not have put myself in that position in the first place, do you think Breonna's boyfriend, someone with no record, would have opened fire if he knew that these people where cops?

The cops put themselves in a dangerous position, there is clearly some debate about them announcing themselves as cops. You can't put yourself into a potentially lethal situation on someone else's property and then claim they were afraid for their lives in shooting an unarmed bystander.

Using this post, right here, do you think there should be some form of public hearing where you can make the case that it was an accident, while folk representing the dead woman make the case that it wasn’t?

Perhaps a panel of folk could decide, on a mutually acceptable standard of proof, whose presentation is most likely true, while a neutral arbiter, I wanna say ‘judges’ the hearing, so it’s fair to everyone involved.

I would have knocked on the door first and confirmed to the person I was executing the warrant to that I am indeed a police officer.

If that police officer was at their home in their bedroom and someone broke down their door, they would also shoot first and ask questions later.

Not sure if posting the thousands of videos available on the internet portraying foaming, rabid and unhinged nutjobs that represent the Left on a daily basis, again on this forum, is really necessary ?

So if i post loads of different Nazi videos i can then claim they represent the right? Is that a challenge, when should i start? I will tag you in each one of them.

The bf was interviewed after the incident , he confirmed that the cops knocked and identified themselves.

You're touching more on the castle doctrine now. I am curious how he managed to shoot at them so quickly though. I wouldn't have enough time to grab a firearm if someone kicked down my door in the middle of the night before they scream "Police! Freeze!"

You're correct these types of warrants can be very dangerous especially if not preformed correctly. For that matter serving even normal warrants can be fatal for police.

Link for that, because according to all sources I have seen....

Taylor's boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, has said he heard pounding at the door, but he did not hear anyone announce they were police. He fired one shot at 12:43 a.m., according to his arrest citation, thinking intruders were breaking in.

Have never seen anything to say he knew that they where police, so source please?

I already said that didn't I? The DA has the case evidence not the public. He will make that decision.

The whole point of the original message was to stop saying they are guilty before the evidence has actually been presented.

Hold on , first story pushed was , poor innocent lady killed by mean cops who weren't meant to be there because illegal warrant......
The next one was yeah ok , the warrant was legal etc and the bf only shot because nobody knocked and cops are mean.
Now it's , cops knocked , bf shot , cops returned fire and cops are mean.

I think we can see where this is going and who is more likely to be right.

I mean I'm here saying where was the due process.

You're here fangirling this guy:

dredd-2012.jpg
I profess my right to fangirl Dredd.

Dredd actually did this type of thing without shooting people who were not a threat.

You can spot a boomer from a mile away, when he has zero ability to discern from sources on the internet. Its on the internet so it must be true hey?
Thank you .
Now go tell tysonroux the same thing every time he posts his stuff.
Oh yeah , you won't.
