From the gate, where Bonnie and Clyde live (purple pin), to Mayor Lyda Krewson's home at 502 Lake Avenue (red pin), less than half a mile.

Look carefully, Greg. Portland Place is a private street. Do you notice how it is not tarred like the public streets, and that the mayor's house is not in this private suburb?

The bolded bits are lies. I said there was footage showing the protesters walking through an open, intact gate. And no indication who broke it or when.

I also said if there is evidence of property damage, arrest and prosecute whoever did it.

The fact that you need to lie to jump on your pedestal gives the game away, guy.

How is saying there's no indication of who broke the gate or when, different from saying there's no evidence that the protesters did it? I did not lie. My point was that you cannot bring yourself to accept the obvious conclusion that the protesters broke the gate because you are so intent on casting them in a good light. Unless someone else broke the gate as a conspiracy to make the protesters look bad. Or, maybe aliens did it; I mean, there's no evidence to the contrary, is there?

Apart from the gate, what else did they destroy?

Nothing, and this does not support the proposition that they were peaceful, for it may well be that no further vandalism took place precisely because of how the couple defended their mansion. The broken gate, on the other hand, does support the proposition that they were not peaceful.

Less than half a mile.

600 meters.

By foot.

Both in Central West End.

*Literally* the same suburb.

Google Maps it.

It is a lie, because you're claiming I said things that I never said.

And I said there's no indication at present because it leaves it open that protesters did break it. But you're still ignoring the footage showing the protesters walking through the open, unlocked gate. So it was likely broken some time after they were through.

And I said, repeatedly now, that whoever did it should be arrested and prosecuted, which you conveniently keep ignoring.

Nothing, and this does not support the proposition that they were peaceful, for it may well be that no further vandalism took place precisely because of how the couple defended their mansion. The broken gate, on the other hand, does support the proposition that they were not peaceful.

So collective guilt is your conclusion?

And how come no other properties on the route were ransacked and destroyed? You're undermining your own argument constantly.

This is not true. However, I do not condone lawlessness either.

But you've been pretty earnestly supporting the couple's lawlessness...?

Pointing an AR-15 at people who don't give a crap about you and are walking past your house with raised voices is also lawlessness.
Violating the privacy of your fellow citizens and knowingly subjecting them harassment by right wing trolls is lawlessness and a gross abuse of power. Vile and evil to the core.
For the max 10 people who broke the gate that is lawlessness for sure.
For the 490 other protesters who simply exercised their right first amendment right to protest peacefully, that is not lawlessness.

From where I'm sitting you are being irrationally selective with your outrage.

There was no mention of China before Peggie brought it up.

I get the impression that he genuinely thinks anything that isn't Trumpism is communism.

It's interesting because he reminds me of the nut jobs here who thinks that wearing a mask is equivalent to tyranny.

But then again it is easier to relate to those folks as an ex-right winger. Too bad education and higher learning indoctrinated me :cautious:
