So you are implying that all communities in the US are subject to the same laws?

Not sure where I implied otherwise.

Suppose they don't have the luxury of being pardoned by your boy Donnie though, he just reserves those for racist millionaires I guess. But hey, I suppose he has a soft spot for those since some of them are his family and friends.

Yeah but no one actually talks like that. He is just too dense/old to realise it.
Just like he likes to sniff young girls, he is just creepy. Creepy Uncle Joe.

Well then he isn't that much different from grab-them-by-the-pussy trump in that specific regard.

Periodic reminder: Justin Amash voted *against* making lynching a hate crime.
Why don't you read why.
″#HR35 criminalizes conspiracies to violate various federal criminal laws, including many that are unrelated to lynching,” Amash tweeted. “But it’s already illegal to conspire to commit any federal crime, so the acts this bill covers are already criminal.

“The bill’s main effect is to make these conspiracies punishable to the same extent (or greater) as the underlying crimes, some of which are punishable by death. We should abolish the death penalty, not expand it to more crimes.

It was a stupid bill and he was absolutely correct in voting against it.

The secret of true comedy? Timing.
Take some time to read why he is against it. It is broadly the same reasons why I said it was stupid when it was discussed in this thread.
This is a stupid bill.
Read the text:

That is already highly illegal. Which means that this bill is nothing but a political circle jerk.

Not according to the bill they just passed ...

Thoughts and prayers.

Ohio Senate: Reineke tops Ackison in 26th district primary

State Rep. Bill Reineke cruised to a comfortable victory in the Republican Party primary for the 26th District seat in the Ohio Senate.

Reineke, a Seneca County car dealership owner, collected 64.8% percent of votes cast in the district to defeat Union County business owner Melissa Ackison by 11,237 votes (24,599 to 13,362), according to the unofficial tally Tuesday.

Absentee ballots will be accepted until May 8. They must be postmarked April 27 to be counted.

Just for fun he says "get a job"

Because we all know that the correct thing for people to do is live by means of forcing other people to pay for your livelihood. Certainly getting paid by providing value to other people really is the most evil concept in the world.

Context matters, and as much as I think Libertarians can be crazy, a lot of them come from a place of principle as opposed to racism/classism/sexism etc.

I think some people on the right view Sanders (for example) the same way. They think his politicies are batsh.t but they do think that he believes in them and isn't another grifter trying to seize power/enrich himself and his buddies.

Clear something up for me konfab... Is your favourite movie character the Humungus from Road Warrior, Aunty Entity from Beyond Thunderdome or Immortan Joe from Fury Road?

Even I give Amash points for leaving the party on principle. Doesn't make him much less garbage 'tho.
