Isn't that always the case? What would be considered lower middle class in Malawi is what would be considered poor in SA.

If you could buy a working car for the equivalent of $300 in SA, and the fuel was cheap as chip...you would have a lot more people driving around in jalopies. Wouldn't make them any richer despite being vehicle owners.

Whatever the point you were trying to make with your statement was in essence just some entitled ignorant bs

It is, hence the reason why the left's focus on inequality being the biggest evil in the world instead of poverty is delusional. They would rather poor people be poorer and have the gap between the rich and poor be smaller.

I should really congratulate you on showing how ignorant you are of economics.

Off the bat, people in rural areas will have more time on their hands to do other stuff. They don't have to wait for public transportation to get them places.
Then there is the fact that having a car (or any private) transportation gives people freedom. They can work in, and live in places that are not within walking distance of public transport hubs.
Then there is the little phenomenon of services like Uber, which allow people to monetise their cars, if they are not a complete skedonk.

So what was done in February? That was her question. He showed off a propaganda video where he bragged about the China shutdown but they had all throughout the month of February to take more action, and they didn't, even when cases started to appear in the country. I mean ffs it was only a couple of months ago, I remember it clearly.

And who's referring to rural areas? You don't seem to have an inkling of how vast the distances are in large parts of the US. SA distances are far by most world standards, the US takes it to the next level

I wonder why the US needed to send the CDC to China?

Because I thought that under previous adminsitrations, the CDC had an expert embedded with Chinese Health Authorities to help bridge a gap from the USA to China on such matters, so they could be the eyes and ears on the ground should a pandemic originate there.

Oh wait, now I see. The Trump administration axed the position and the expert left China, thereby leaving no CDC officials in China.

Oh ok then.
