Actually a really good interview, just a pity it has a BS sensational headline.

Mike Pence's moral case for removing a president from office

Vice President Mike Pence once argued the president of the United States should be held to the highest moral standards to determine whether he should resign or be removed from office.

Pence said:
If you and I fall into bad moral habits, we can harm our families, our employers and our friends. The President of the United States can incinerate the planet. Seriously, the very idea that we ought to have at or less than the same moral demands placed on the Chief Executive that we place on our next door neighbor is ludicrous and dangerous.

Throughout our history, we have seen the presidency as the repository of all of our highest hopes and ideals and values. To demand less is to do an injustice to the blood that bought our freedoms."

Further, the Presidents (sic) repeated lies to the American people in this matter compound the case against him as they demonstrate his failure to protect the institution of the presidency as the 'inspiring supreme symbol of all that is highest in our American ideals.

Leaders affect the lives of families far beyond their own 'private life'. In the Bible story of Esther we are told of a king who was charged to put right his own household because there would be 'no end of disrespect and discord' among the families of the kingdom if he failed to do so. In a day when reckless extramarital sexual activity is manifesting itself in our staggering rates of illegitimacy and divorce, now more than ever, America needs to be able to look to her First Family as role models of all that we have been and can be again.

If our leaders flinch at this responsibility, they would do well to heed the Proverb 'if a ruler listens to lies, all his officials become wicked.

Our leaders must either act to restore the luster and dignity of the institution of the Presidency or we can be certain that this is only the beginning of an even more difficult time for our land. For the nation to move on, the President must move out.

The *best* people.

The very first person in congress to endorse then candidate Donald T Rump, Chris Collins, has just been arrested for insider trading.

EDIT: The best part of the story is that he called his son from the congressional picnic, on the south lawn of the White House, to get him to sell stock he knew was about to tank.

A Massachusetts man faces a five-year prison term for inciting violence against federal agents and politicians. Besides offering €436.08 for the head of an ICE agent, the suspect urged someone to slit the throat of Sen. John McCain.
Law enforcement agents arrested Brandon J. Ziobrowski from Cambridge, Massachusetts on Thursday morning in New York. The 33-year-old was charged with “one count of use of interstate and foreign commerce to transmit a threat to injure another person.”

And now, the hypocrisy news:

Kris Kobach, the man 45 tapped to run his Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity, who is now running in the Kansas GOP Gubernatorial primary, has been accused by the incumbent, Governor Jeff Colyer, of undercounting Colyer's votes. Additionally, Colyer claims voters had difficulties finding his name on the ballot, or were forced to vote on provisional ballots or were turned away outright in an attempt Colyer says, to suppress the vote.
In an unsurprising twist, Kansas electoral law dictates Kobach himself is the person responsible for overseeing any recounts... Only hours ago, and after a public outcry, did Kobach finally offer to rescue himself.

Our second story is about First Lady Melania Trump.

Yesterday Melania's parents became proud US citizens *after* the First Lady sponsored their green card applications, an immigration process commonly referred to as "chain-migration".

Of chain-migration, Melania's husband recently tweeted:

"CHAIN MIGRATION must end now! Some people come in, and they bring their whole family with them, who can be truly evil. NOT ACCEPTABLE!"

He is confused/crazy McCain is on his side.

Slightly off-topic, but speaking of crazy McCain, who's watched the entire "Vietnam War" documentary series? (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1877514/)

No idea why, but I was always under the impression that McCain was seen as some sort of hero due to being a POW in that war. Actual footage of him in captivity in that show lays waste to any "hero" narrative.

Can you tell us why you say that, since I don't have access to the documentary?

Basically he looked scared shyteless compared to other POW's and he broke easily under interrogation, providing the North Vietnamese with recorded footage of him saying how nice they really are.
