I love it when COD heroes, who've never worn a uniform, tell folk what does and doesn't make a hero.

erm, did I make ANY claim of being a hero myself or being an expert on the topic? I objectively compare him to every other pow in the same documentary in the same war. Objectively speaking he comes across as the least heroic, certainly the least brave, BY FAR, unless your definition of a hero includes sissy girls who cry on camera and cave to their captors in 2 minutes flat ...

By "sissy girls" you mean folk who requested a combat assignment flying Skyhawks off carriers in Vietnam. Folk who broke both arms and a leg ejecting, after being hit by a missile. Folk who were bayonetted and had their shoulder crushed by the North Vietnamese, injuries they carry to this day... Sure, yeah, whatever.

Enlisting to fight even when you're afraid of the consequences is a damn brave thing to do. Dodging the draft with money is, in contrast, the worst kind of lily-livered cowardice. McCain had the wealth and the connections to avoid serving, but he didn't take the easy way out, and that says more about his moral fibre than any documentary can.

The judge apparently grew visibly agitated, assuring Reuveni in court that it wasn't "personal."
"I know I'm raising my voice, but I'm extremely upset about this," the judge said. "This is not acceptable."

Sullivan continued with the hearing, which was near its end, but kept reflecting on how he was "really upset" and found it "pretty outrageous" that "somebody in the pursuit of justice ... is spirited away while her attorneys are arguing for justice for her."

Well then its already ended badly, just, you know, for folk who *aren't* Alex Jones, but rather the targets of his poison... Check the Alex Jones thread... All the folk saying he still has his first amendment rights are 100% correct. They're also 100% correct when they say that private companies are *not* a public square and they most certainly can choose who to allow on their platforms.

Was this not also fake news? Does the fact that the NYT apologised mean they are redeemed and deserve to not be censored? How long before another major media house presents fake evidence of something that leads to a major incident?

Also by and by. Youtube is not a private company. Google is a publicly traded enterprise owned by the Alphabet company. Tax payer money was used to create google.

I don't really. The context of the lie doesn't change just because it's second hand information. What if something Infowars had reported on had happened to be true and the major news outlets had either failed to report it as true or conspired to cover up? I believe it's up to individual people to check their news sources and not Big Tech who clearly have a partisan bias. One just has to look at the incidents of right leaning twitter accounts being banned because they are parroting Sarah Jeong on twitter. Candice Owens, T.J Kirk etc. Even H3h3 productions received a copyright strike because they discussed Alex Jones on a pocast. It's amazing how the ban hammer seems to only fall in one direction.

Have you escaped an all out fire on the deck of your aircraft carrier, helped a fellow sailor escape and then have a bomb explode nearby filling your body with bomb fragments?

How well would you hold up after being bayoneted, being repeatedly tortured, beatings every 2 hours for weeks that were so sever you have lifelong disabilities and solitary confinement for 2 years out of an imprisonement for 6 years?

You do realise he was offered early release as a propaganda exercise and refused to go unless junior officers were released ahead of him?

But yeah I forgot your so Alpha, he was obviously so Beta, you would probably have single handily defeated North Vietnam over a weekend.
