Break up families? It's routine around the world, including SA.

For example, just last week the SAPS arrested a man who murdered our gardener, breaking up the perp's family. Mother gone, his kids are in foster care. Such lack of respect for families by the cops.

Oh, and my sister is fostering three kids whose mother is in prison for drugs.

(Let's see who's first with accusations of insensitivity, hypocrisy, etc, etc, etc.)

No you're wrong. Obama used the same laws to separate kids from parents. Sure it wasn't nearly as effective as Trump administration. By Trump is enforcing it, not using it if and when it suits him. If you can tell me Obama never split families you might be onto something. Which you can't as his administration did it too.

It's not a new thing, like I said, the Demos started this, Trump is just enforcing it.

Source that Obama’s separates kids from families?

It’s already been posted in this thread from snopes that your statement is false.

Ya ok but that ignores the manner and way in which its done, which i think is the gripe with most people.

Wait we have gone from separating children to detaining anyone and you say im the one doing mental gymnastics? Still waiting for the source on that law that Obama brought in according to you.

Families, even children have been separated under Obama. Just stop denying it. I have agreed that it's not to the scale Trump is doing it, but it has been happening.

I love how you keep ignoring the whole law part of the statement.

Then they should have bitched and moaned (signifying nothing of course) about how other countries are ten times worse. But identity politics run these little hypocrits' lives, virtue signaling their faux outrage for all to see.

Is that the atheist in you speaking again?

Then let’s deal in facts.

Murder is a felony. Fact.
Drug charges are a felony. Fact

Illegal immigration is a misdemeanor. Fact. The only way to make it a felony is to return illegally *after* a deportation.

In Texas, other misdemeanors include DWI and disorderly conduct and most are penalised with fines.

You’re making a case that a guy being separated from his family... in prison... guilty of murder... is the same as someone being separated from their family ‘cos they were over the limit and got a fine.

Hypocrisy much?

Source? Or are you just gonna keep spouting sh*t and declaring it a fact?

You're trying to deal with facts with the #fakenews crowd? :crylaugh:

Ah, OK. So in your view it's OK to break up families if the crime is serious enough. Got it.

They separated the mother from the parents even though the father was the one who committed the crime?

Or is this a special case that isn't the norm that you're trying to force logic onto?

Is it normal for the government to separate families when one parent has been committed of a crime? :crylaugh:

My word, the twisted logic conservatards come up with :D

I think not. I made what enquiries I could (about the kids, who are innocent) and it appears it's been sensitively handled, at least as far as our generally dysfunctional social services can do it.

Small aside Q: What in my post above leads you to infer I support family separations. I can't find anything that implies I do.
