Common sense really and the ability to speak and understand English... Oh, that and the supporting texts and emails and multiple witness testimonies are more than enough for me.

I’ll add that I finally understand where you’re coming from now too... You feel that it’s this partisan, privileged, entitled man’s birthright to make reproductive decisions for more than half of the US population.

Good thing you’re a Saffa then, amirite?
 
In other news.

Dow Jones up 192.9 after the trade deals with Canada & Mexico.

Cant wait for Obama's next speech so he can try to take credit.

Hearsay does obviously not apply to all the instances listed in greg's post. Calm down.

The Yale legacy is questionable though, as stating that fact implies he was selected based on his legacy status on not on his academic record. The only way that this can be proven is if Yale clarifies why they selected Kavanaugh.

How many sworn testimonies would it take to prove he's lying? I mean, in a court of law, from eyewitnesses? Because I've lost track of the number of people who have come forward to dispute Kavanaugh's account of his conduct in college.

A woman who Dr. Christine Blasey Ford says was at the 1982 party where she was allegedly assaulted by Brett Kavanaugh sent a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee that subtly calls out Kavanaugh for lying to senators when he repeatedly said Ford’s accusation was “refuted” during his testimony on Thursday.


The woman — Leland Keyser, a high school friend of Ford’s — sent a letter to the committee via her lawyer that says, “Notably, Ms. Keyser does not refute Dr. Ford’s account, and she has already told the press that she believes Dr. Ford’s account.“

Well, Yale *have* clarified that they’ve canceled his class next year, so there is that.

No. I am just trying to establish some basic truths as to your beliefs. I didn't defend Kavanaugh in any way for a while now. You believe hearsay evidence is enough to discredit a man. And that lying is enough to exclude a person from such a high level position. There is nothing wrong with that.

I actually think that Kavanaugh should have withdrawn his name from contention, the Republicans should nominate someone else, and they should have a new round of hearings before the vote in November.

But, please do carry on telling me what my beliefs are.

(For much of last century, Rock Creek Park served to separate D.C. residents by more than mere geography, with "west of the park" signaling white wealth and anything east meaning black.)

But Kavanaugh was raised in nearby Bethesda, much more on the suburban than urban side of the "urban-suburban area."

How's the debt doing? Can't wait for Trump's next speech so he can try to dodge the blame.

Know the difference? One went into the Presidency from an economic disaster. Trump started on 3rd base and Trumpites think he's hitting home runs.

First. As Randhir pointed out... Sworn testimony. Perhaps if I say it often enough you’ll eventually make the distinction. Perhaps.

Second. Merrick Garland. 293 days without the courtesy of an interview, let alone a hearing. Why the rush to get it done in the 35 days before the midterms? Know something we don’t? Is it a wave? Is it blue?

Here you go again trying to have your cake and eat it. You can't argue on the one hand that Kavanaugh should withdraw, then say that all the accusations against him are hearsay. Put it this way - if the accusations against Kavanaugh are false, then it's a huge witch hunt and he should be confirmed to the Supreme Court, no matter how anyone feels about it.

Dear lord. The lie was that the friend refuted the incident took place. Kavanaugh lied about that. Where did I say anything like what you're talking about in your post?

Even tho the base line was rock bottom to grow the economy after the recession, Obama's efforts was still pretty dismal.

Using your analogy I can blame Obama for the trend & rise in national debt over the last decade.
