Usage so far on the Cell C app

I am a recent Cell C subscriber with a Pinnacle contract, currently on my first month. I use the Cell C mobile app to manage my usage. I have noticed that there is on the top right hand of the app an indicator that says: "Usage so far". The amount displayed is in Rands and keeps increasing when I make calls. This is disturbing to me since I still have over 300 free minutes and they are depleting as I make calls. I called Customer Care at Cell C and the agent told me this usage charge does not show up on their side - so it's somewhat mystifying.

Does anyone know what the Usage so far indicates? Will I be charged extra at the end of the month for this 'usage'?

Is the free minutes inclusive of all cellphone networks or is this Cell C to Cell C only? Data usage (out of bundle) usually counts as well towards that R amount
