can anyone help me!
i`ve got a am2 cpu, nvidia graphic card 6100, 320g sata hdd, 3g ram, with pci analogue tvtuner card.
intermittently i get a bluescreen with error code usb_buy_code. at the time i was using vista. what also happened is that when i`m playing my tv card it freezes. so i change to win 7 home premium. the same error code, and freezing of the tv card. get the latest driver and software for the tuner card, but its not helping. i disconneted the front usb slots, the other 4 are at the back and onboard, but the problem is still there.
so the problem is not with the os or the tuner card but the usb or any other hardware, what can i do. what also happens is that my usb mouse stop working, or my sound just go away, then i have to reboot. its driving me mad!
any tips or solution will be appreciated
 
If you boot into safe mode, do you experience these issues as well? Sounds like it could be under powered. What PSU you running?
 
Actually, the problem exists due to a weak PSU or your PSU not being able to provide as much current due to age. I know it seems unlikely and that's what I thought first when it happened to me. Try borrowing a more powerful PSU from a friend and see if it solves the issue. Either that or the other possibility being a buggy BIOS setting. Try googling your mobo make and model with that error.

the psu is about a year and half old ,for which size of watt power am i looking @ i have am2 2.4ghz cpu

Doesn't look too intense, I guess 20 A or more on the 12 V rails should be plentiful for your system. Though I do recommend first googling that error in conjunction with your motherboard make & model.
 
i replace the power suuply with a 480 watt wich shuold be more than enough, i think its the hdd because its giving me different error codes and from an 80g i can only use 35g the rest is dammage i don`t know how that happens.
 
thanks to everyone that tried to help it is sorted, i bought a new motherboard problem solved. the guys on phforums help me. special thanks to bloodrayne. so i just buy the motherboard from prophecy. please check this site out www.prophecy.co.za
