Utilitie to tweak Win 7

Hi there.

Win 7 x64 Home Premium.
Asus P7P55-M Motherboard
i5Q750 CPU
GeForce 9600GT screen card
4 Gig RAM

I have downloaded and ran TuneUp Utilities. The trial is coming to an end tomorrow. Is it worth forking out the ±$50.00 for this or can I just uninstall it?
It tells me that it has optimised my PC with this and that and that but I cannot really notice any difference.

Any suggestions or advise?

Precisely. Keep your money in your pocket. These things are not much better than scams IMHO. They did little good in XP, less in Vista, and probably more harm than good in Win 7.

Yep, all a scam imho. http://www.askvg.com/ offers a few tweaks here and there but registry cleaners and all that other stuff is a no-no and a waste of time.

An alternative to TuneUp utilities is Glary Utilities, which is free. I'm not sure if they have a version for Win7...

Pay for software? On the contrary, Advanced System Care can do this for you. There's a free and premium version of it.
