Yeap... they want ONE PERSON crazy enough to do all that, and for a tip salary
The salary isn’t actually that bad for the ask.
The problem is you’ll be one person…as in the only one working alone non-stop.

Hence the emphasis in my post, not so much on money, more on working as ONE PERSON- which implies, non stopThe salary isn’t actually that bad for the ask.

Came here to say this. I pay a similar position up to 4.5x than what is advertised here.
As the saying goes, pay peanuts and you get monkeys.
Good luck, hope you find your unicorn.Thank you for the feedback, to confirm you are paying between R180 000 - 270 000 per month to a candidate who manages escalations from T1 and T2? As that is 4.5x the advertised amount for this position.
I am happy to go back to my client to discuss the salary range and have it increased if necessary but the 4.5x amount seems excessive.
Overseas based MSPs use South Africans as slave labour .They want a unicorn that is an expert at everything but want to pay min salary.

start with the Pounds equivalent in ZAR,Thank you for your comment, for an Escalations Engineer managing escalations from T1 and T2 what salary range do you feel is aligned?
It's the same as when someone in the UK or US relocates and the company adjusts their salary to the resident countries market. We can argue this from many angles and yes, it would be great to earn the same as what someone in the UK or US earns, but we don't live there.start with the Pounds equivalent in ZAR,
I've seen what these jobs pay, US East coast and were getting massively ripped off in ZA.
hell, no mention UK working hour's/ ZA working hours/ billiable/non billable per month/week,

Also if it's remote why limited to CPT??
I think this job is perfect for me. At 40k pm I can escalate the hell out of any problems they have.
For 40K they only get the escalation part though for triple that I can also resolve them.Apply then.
Remember - no benefits at all - just gross, and you have to file taxes yourself around ~R9k p/m
same, I get people are desperate and when you need a job, you will take anything, especially with 35% official unemployment rateI'd stay away from this with a 10 foot pole. That salary, expectations, ambigous role and location sounds iffy. Could be it's a new startup or just a Hiring Firm that does B2B though.
