Wanted to know what everyone is getting on Vdsl or adsl2+ 20mb/s and 40mb/s, where you can get these speeds and what routers you are using. :)

20mbps VDSL
Erasmusrand Pretoria
Pace router

3 results over the last 12 days

Is the 20mbps Vdsl upload limited to 2mb or 3mb/s ? I thought it was 2 but everyone seems to be getting more?

I was told it was 2mbps, and during the first week it was, but over the last 2 weeks it has been averaging 2.5mbps and I have seen it peak at over 3mbps. More is better than less, so Ill hold my tongue and enjoy it while it lasts...

That's awsome. The only problem with DSL is the upload speed being slow but vdsl isn't bad at all...... Telkom seems to be expanding vdsl much quicker than they did with 10mbps. :)

I've had no problems with Afrihost since they rolled out the additional ipc. Stable, fast, reliable and consistent. Looking at all the complaints it seems I'm one of the lucky few, but I really have nothing negative to say about them. They did my vdsl upgrade in less than 24 hours, kept me updated and even made sure I had a vdsl router before they flipped the switch.

IndigoIdentity, I see why you like VOX as I've had many issues with Afrihost but they seem to always sort them out so I'll stick with them until it's fixed. The shaping policy is great with them and that's the main reason.

Might as well post some speed tests as I will be getting my VDSL router back shortly then everyone can see the difference between VDSL and ADSL 2+ on the same line (20Mbit).

I will post the same results once I get my VDSL router back and can change my line back to VDSL.
