very high speed Fine

well i think a few of your are a bit harsh to him, its not like he did it for fun. I once had to do that aswell, my now ex gf really had to go to the bathroom, cause of her monthly thingy, and okay, doing 210 is not actually that quick. I hear a lot of people saying, our roads are not build for that kind of speed, but i dont know any better roads to speed on, clear, open wide rides, as straight as a rular with some turns here and there.Okay, getting nailed is not cool, and i think u will get a fine between 15 and 25 grand which will set you back about 1800 beers in a pub or a quick holiday to mauritius but sometimes speed is acceptable. Like this morning, i really had to go a bit quicker, i woke up with a million red spots on my body, my head hurting like it never did before, so i raced to the docter, than to the hospital. Okay, i obviously didnt do over 200, cause its like 3 km away. but still.. its not good to speed, buuut sometimes you just have to. well thats what i think

Guys

I have to admit, Vodacom3g was right.

Yesterday afternoon we took a run to Hartebeespoort, I could only run the bike to 295 then the rev limiter kicked in. That speeds is bloody insane

I did it on the highway with no cars in sight, One needs some practice to run that speed for sure. Again I got dizzy, and tunnel vision set in :o

Anyway, top my bike can do is 295, thanx to the limiter :D

Only 295? Bleh.. I hope thats mph not km/ph :D hehe ;)

295 mph = 474.75648 km/h :D

so did they put you in a cell or what ??

and JK8 don't care how much you love your lil VW's, no matter what you do to a GTi it will never catch a lambo.

Ofcourse not, But in SA the guy dont really go over 300 after theyve been caught, those Gtis reach 250kmph very fast.

i wonder what they do with the white gti's to make them that fast.... does anyone know ?

They give them to Taxi drivers :D

They don't do mods on it afaik. But I would assume the exhaust housing would be changed to a smaller one so the Turbo's kick in quicker. Maybe chip them also. But remember the GTI's go fast anyway. Problem with that is, a Biker can get to 250+ in a few seconds, by the time the GTI's are up to speed the bike is way out of sight already ;)

But I doubt a car can out run them

They not allowed to chase bikes... to dangerous.

225km/h = 62.5m/s.

AFAIK: My car goes from 200-0 km in 5/6 seconds. If yours is similiar, it means you're going to need at least 220m to stop. At night you can't see 220m in front of you clearly. Which means if someone ran into the road 200m in front of you, you'd hit them in 3.6 seconds

<DISCLAIMER> My maths my be a tad out - I did it in my head

Not as dangerous as these would be.

Spike strips are damn dangerous. Especially if you are doing 180+ with low profile rims. The tyre would come off and you would be on a skating rink. No brakes....

I saw a guy fall from a burst rare tyre on a bike once... not a pretty sight. The stupid fool had a Puncture repaired on He's bike tyre... That in itself is just bloody stupid.

Speaking of which.... I had a nail give me a puncture on my S2000, was a slow leak, and I had it repaired at TWT.... A collegue told me the tyre should be replaced, not repaired on a performance car... anyone know if this is true?

A car with a turbo is easy to modify. Yes, the chip as mentioned here. With little effort and basic modification (such as an exhaust mod) you can increase the power from 147kW to well over 200 and the torque by a good 150Nm.
