very high speed Fine

Gee! How you going to manage that with 206kw of torque?! Didn't know she was THAT strict on you...

Get fake plates..

jj :)

Torque is measured in Newton Meters:D:Dnot Kw's:)And Its a whole lot more than 206 Nm of torque for that car:D

surely the guys doing 140 in a 60 zone get hammered worse ??

thats more than double the speed limit, you weren't doing double ??

It doesn't matter what speed you are driving, it is the speed by which you break the law. There are some differences though. But in general, according to the recommended fines, doing 130 in a 60 zone is equivalent to doing 190 in a 120 zone- both are 70kph above the speed limit.

Imagine if you were drunk as well... Shame dude, hope all is good now..

I must admit I really enjoy speeding and the adrenalin rush you get from it. It's been almost 2 years since I have stopped speeding on the road and keep it STRICTLY for the track on Track Days. Bought myself a go-kart to get that 'rush' somewhere else, and not on public roads where innocent road users are.

There was a stage where a group of us used to try clock the highest speeds on our Garmins down Marlboro dip on N1. I clocked 262 and a mate 276. And for some pathetic reason, we thought it was 'cool'. Those days are over thank the lord :)

Not bad....(not that I condone it).... what cars were you driving?

When the 350Z first came out I imagined it to be something like the 240SX or let's say a Z3/Z4. Then I saw a guy pushing one hard and decided to check out the specs. Was really impressed. IMHO this is a very good performance car for not being too expensive.

Time to 200?

0-200 in 11secs is talking in the bugatti Ranges...

EDIT: so you dont think there will be a Polo then ?

Who knows what there will be then. From the car designs I've seen we might have a standard chassis with customizable bodies. Electric/other fuel source engines and the like.

Good to hear you apologise and hopefully you really have learned your lesson... it does worry me a bit that you still seem to think speed is cool with the way you say....

...this is the attitude that needs to be gotten rid of. All too many people still think it makes them cool and more manly to brag about the high speeds they drive at (yes, you had an excuse but with a car like yours you cannot tell me you have not driven fast just for fun before). It does not make you more of a man at all. If you could run very fast then yes it would be an achievement but it does not take much to put your foot on an accelerator... any boy or girl over about 15 could do it!

Fast driving is cool on a race track. Fast driving on public roads is for idiots!

EDIT : And from the fines I posted from previous cases, you got off way too lightly!

Give the dude a break. He's apologised, paid his fine, spent a night in jail and seen the error of his ways. Everyone deserves a second chance.

Geesh

Now if you only had a laser Jammer you would not be in the situation you are in now!

I would rather get a fine for a jammer than to go through your ordeal.
