very high speed Fine

I got to ask...whatever happened to bribing the JM's they usually take a quarter of the fine and u can pay in installments hic hic hic

Did 132km/h on 120km/h N3 trying to overtake a car and got a R2500 fine at the roadside court, alternative was jail right there in then. These fsckers will fleece you in KZN over the holiday season.

I got a R500 fine for doing a 105 in a 60 zone today.... Cape Town, Koeberg Road.

I got congratulated on my parking the other day, got to my car, there was a piece of paper that said:"Parking fine".

Where do I go to claim my R500 prize?

I find that hard to believe. There must be something you are missing, or they really took a chance.
They cant send you to jail for that speed.
I would have said take me to jail, but Ill see your ass in court and sued them for R25000!

Hey guys. Found this thread purely by luck. I also received this kind of fine. Did 117 in a 60 zone. Any of you guys think professional advice is required, or can I just go to the Prosecutor myself? Also, does this mean that I now have a criminial record??? :(

Nearly double the speed limit? My advice would be to slow down in the future...

I did 186km/h in 120 zone on the N1. I signed Simmonds for a court date. Any idea what my fine/penalty might be?

Not enough!

I am sooooooooo tired of people complaining when they are caught doing ridiculous speeds.

No sympathy at all!

Thank f*ck I drive a Picanto eh... Never catch me speeding. Ever! ...even if I tried and stuff!

Have you got stuck in post mode? This is the 4th time you've posted the identical thing, if you add these two posts to the other thread........

I got flashed at 210km/h and I got ziltch :p No fine, no cops chasing me down, not even a hello....

BTW 200+ is so easy in a car, driving only starts becoming a challenge at that speed.

200+ on a bike though, that's something completely different :)

Got arrested doing around 166 on the N1 the other day. When I pulled over the cops started packing up, that's when I knew I was in deep... I'm thankful to the Navara that was hogging the fast lane just before that... slowed me down a bit...

They not allowed to chase bikes... to dangerous.

Tell that to the two guys who pulled me over.
Not proud of but it happened.
Also remember, even if your vehicle of choice can outrun them, you can't outrun a 2-way radio.

No, you won't. Not on a stock CBR1000 at altitude. ;)

It's pretty easy to get close to 300 on a litre bike, say 280, damn difficult to actually touch 300.

Even at the coast with 15% more horsepower, it's not easy to achieve.

Funny thing is, at altitude drag reduces. He *might* have it easier actually (you will need less power to achieve to speed due to less drag)- but I haven't done the math to see what would be needed. Having a litrebike of my own, I'd say none of them will do a genuine 300, especially stock. I know guys who drag race bikes, and some of their GSX-R's have clocked in the 330 down the 1km, but those things are nowhere near stock.
