Will have to try this later tonight ........ so you simply create a new 3G only connection and use the Virgin APN.
South Africa’s biggest forum. Discuss, discover, and connect with thousands of members.
What's your setup exactly plse? 128K sim?
Virgin still free!Wanna respond to Styles comment of 'Feel sorry for us who connect other then asdl'.He is obviously somebody that loves his 2c on the Virgin/cell c forum. The fact that many[ if not most] dont wanna pay R700 month for ASDL are obviously not as wealthy as you.I fall into the 89.2 % of the country who earn pittance and love the internet as much/if not more than you!So keep your pity for the weak, cos there is a revolution coming and im sad that it had to be a foreigner[SIR RICHARD BRANSEN].The bigger picture is 1year ago 1mb=R2 /7months ago 1mb=50c.MY AIM: INTERNET FREE!!!Mark my words!: Hellcom are gonna loose their monopoly and everybody including you will in the near future benefit from R350 per month [uncapped]and it took COMPETITION to enable this, and the poor peasants such as myself will be on your level!IN CLOSING :A 4 NETWORK[VIRGIN]+ A RIVAL FOR HELLCOM!=CHEAP................THEN FREE FOR 3RD WORLD INTERNET.
also Vm free wap has something to do Cell c??? right Or Wrong??
ps: also i heard that cell c wap is also free??? Anyone know about it??
just a quick question, for this f r e e internet on V M, do u have to roam cell c's network or vodacom's, or doesnt it make any difference?
Just wanna apologise to Style, i was quite drunk and p!!!!### of with a computer supplier in Cape Town[VEFA INTERNATIONAL!]It makes sense that we should just keep this whole wonderful billing glitch thing hush hush.
PS: Could everyone do all of us a favour and stop posting about free WAP, please? If a representative sees your post, it could spoil free WAP for all of us. Thanks.![]()
Only if you have Vodacom edge reception and no Cell C edge reception. Otherwise you are likely to get slower speed on VodacomAt my house, the reception on my mobile always says "Vodacom Virgin". But when i venture a few kms down the road it resorts to just "virgin'.
Now i currently use gprs at home on virgin. I'm getting a 3g/hsdpa phone very soon. I'm heavily reliant on my mobile for data.
Does having this dual V&V reception offer any benefits?
Thats not true, Vodacom knew about the free net and only came to realise the extent after the fact. I'm sure Vodacom would know if someone connected to their 3G network by simply checking the logs.Everyone knows there are vodacom reps on this site. So Thats what happens when a few people talk to much....everyone knows about it and everyone suffers when it gets the chop. just like the free internet method on vodaphone live. when will people learn. I dont use this as im happy with my 4mb adsl, but i feel sorry for those people who were using this method to access the net who had no other means.
anyways, have a great day guys. just putting my 2cents worth in.

It's only the Cell C wap that's free by default. You pay as soon as you use the internet. So I don't think it's related at all.i try it with a 64k sim but did not work but i must try it with 128k sim getting 2day.
ps: also i heard that cell c wap is also free??? Anyone know about it??
