DJ... your video makes me angry :( Bah, ****ing idiots. People like her should be locked up for lying.

It is incredibly clear to anyone with even a modicum of grey matter that she is blatantly, willingly and knowingly lying in order to scam people. What's worse is her website, which continues the scam - http://www.simplyhealthyself.com/dr-werner.html

Extracts:

Here is how my 3-step Vision Therapy System works:
Light therapy ensures information from your eyes is transferring efficiently to your brain.
Once information is reaching your brain accurately, Vision Therapy helps you use the information you are receiving efficiently.
Homeopathy then scans your system to eliminate 'viruses' or 'malware', which are often belief systems or programmed patterns that interrupt your system's smooth functioning.

Yes, she claims that bu shining a light in people's eyes, she can cure them of a whole host of ailments...

When one considers these examples below of how a small transformation or reconfiguration of energy can change something into something else so radically different.

Example one: Water (H2O) + Oxygen (O) = Hydrogren Peroxide (H2O2).

So from water by a tiny transformation becomes a powerful bleaching agent, disintectant, antiseptic, oxidizer and rocketry propellant (and you won’t drink it).

Example two: Water(H2O) – Oxygen (O) = Hydrogen Gas (H2)

So from water by a tiny transformation we get an ordoless, tasteless, flammable compound.

Yes, she claims that dilution of olive oil to the nth degree is chemistry. She continues to lie to people.

This woman is indicative of the morons involved in this field. I'd know - I have a homeopath family member. She gave up studying medicine to focus on homeopathy because her gran convinced her that modern science is a sham.

Con artists are far more prevalent than most people are willing to believe. From homeopaths, to whey powder salespeople, reiki con artists, reflexology bullschitters, acupuncturists arseholes, and many others like them. It is sad...

Do you think they are purposely setting out to scam people out of their money, or are they innocent but deluded?

Is there a difference between homeopathy and ayurvedic medicine?

It is slightly different in its methods but the same result - bullschit!

It is in fact quite dangerous - studies into ayurvedic treatments have shown toxic levels of mercury, arsenic and a whole host of other heavy metals and compounds. When medicine is performed by illiterate religious nutjobs, you're not receiving medical treatment.

You might as well slather yourself in butter and jump into a random berry bush...

I use Similasan for my eyes. Anti-biotics, cortisone drops, nothing worked; I got recurring itching and red scratching eyes. I do not trust homeopathetic meds, but at least the Similasan works.

Purposefully, in the majority of cases. After years of treatment, the efficacy, or lack thereof, is patently obvious to the person performing the treatment. Moreover, that video is not a simple misunderstanding, or poor extrapolation - it is an outright lie. The fact that she's hosting an Amway-type meeting to sell (yes, sell) her homeopathy bullschit is a dead giveaway. It is also impossible in this day and age to not come across plausible and irrefutable evidence to the contrary of your claims. To ignore it is irresponsible and all subsequent actions are willful and dangerous...

It's the white coat effect that most people fall for, but fortunately you didn't. It is the Stanley Milgram experiment results playing themselves out for all to see.

A white coat does not infer mental acuity or ability. It infers nothing, actually...

Nope. Doesn't do jack-****, apart from hydrating your eyes a bit.

What do we make of the people who say that they made use of ayurvedic treatment and that it worked for this or that ailment ? Placebo?

I tried natural tears and all those kinds of eye lube, didn't work. The Similasan works, I do not think in the homeopathetic way, maybe because it is preserved with silver sulphate, the silver could be killing bacteria.

Have you looked into what it is you're actually taking?

People assume that homeopathic means herbal. It doesn't. What you are taking is a herbal substance made from belladona, which by the way is incredibly toxic. Your herbal remedy is 1/3rd belladona, so careful - it can kill you. Perhaps you're feeling better because it is blocking your neural transmitters, considering belladona is an anticholinergic agent?

But you are not taking a homeopathic remedy. You are taking a herbal one, and a dangerous one at that. Keep it locked up and away from kids. You could probably kill a person with the quantities you have there, and putting it in your body is not recommended. Here's why:

Belladonna is one of the most toxic plants found in the Eastern Hemisphere.[14] All parts of the plant contain tropane alkaloids.[15] The berries pose the greatest danger to children because they look attractive and have a somewhat sweet taste.[11] The consumption of two to five berries by a human adult is probably lethal.[16][17] The root of the plant is generally the most toxic part, though this can vary from one specimen to another.[18] Ingestion of a single leaf of the plant can be fatal to an adult.[11][15]
The active agents in belladonna, atropine, hyoscine (scopolamine), and hyoscyamine, have anticholinergic properties.[19][20] The symptoms of belladonna poisoning include dilated pupils, sensitivity to light, blurred vision, tachycardia, loss of balance, staggering, headache, rash, flushing, severely dry mouth and throat, slurred speech, urinary retention, constipation, confusion, hallucinations, delirium, and convulsions.[19][21][22] In 2009, A. belladonna berries were mistaken for blueberries by an adult woman; the six berries she ate were documented to result in severe anticholinergic syndrome.[23] The plant's deadly symptoms are caused by atropine's disruption of the parasympathetic nervous system's ability to regulate involuntary activities, such as sweating, breathing, and heart rate. The antidote for belladonna poisoning is physostigmine or pilocarpine, the same as for atropine.[24]

So you're taking a substance that only works temporarily because it actually causes massive eye problems in itself, and therefore initiates a reaction that results in greater blood flow to the eye, and the body's response is to lubricate the eye. So you're "fixing" your problem with another, more serious problem, that will in all likelihood in the long run prove to be rather bad for you.

And that's just after looking into one of the three ingredients of what you're taking. Just because something feels better doesn't mean it is good for you. Beladonna is lethal, and just look at the side effects of what you're taking!

And you are not taking a homeopathic version either. It is just a herbal substance. The two concepts are not interchangeable. Some herbal remedies work. We know this. Just look at how aspirin was discovered...
