Hey guys need some help I have 11 VMmachines on my Windows 7 OS.
They each have 64 MB memory in the settings.
If I try power on another machine it tells me:
Not enough physical memory to power on this virtual machine..

I have 4 gigs DDR3 Ram on my machine.
How could I load more machines? If I bring the memory settings on each virtual machine then would I still be able to log into each machine in the browser?

Thanks

What are you using the VM's for? For those sort of numbers, VMWare server may be a better option if you are no interacting with the desktops.

I thought I fixed it but it only gave me one extra VM machine by allowing the memory to be swapped. :(

You have to increase the amount of memory available to VMWare: (don't have a copy of VMWare on this notebook so not entirely sure), Edit , Preferences, Memory (in the VMware app, not the VM settings).

If I recall there was also a bug on 6.5. Try to set the available memory (above), to 0 and see if you can start a VM. If you can then it means that VMWare is not updating the configuration file correctly; edit it manually:

C:\docs and settings\All Users\app data\VMware\config.ini (or thereabout)
The entry is VMMemoryLimit (or something like that....)

Sorry I can't be more specific, working out of memory here :)
