Vodacom BIS working at full speed

Well then what is the problem? Clearly it is not isolated to just a few users

I think i need to move back to Full BIS to test as im currently using BIS on the Vodacom BES server so my experience would be different to the average user.

As for the slow speeds, I'm going to ask the RIM solution specialist assigned to VC and see what She says & post back.

If you want you can DM ure BBM PIN and i can check on your profile on RIM's Server.

My BIS is working again.

For the last 24 hours my experience has gone from non-existent to fantastic..

I owe a big thank you to SphereZA !

I suffered for TWO years with crappy BIS from Vodacom, so I do hope my BIS does not degrade again.

Sorry just checking this now, how the hell did he fix it?????
So what you are telling me is Vodacom engineers cannot fix the problem for the last few yrs and here he fixed it on a day????

I am not sure if it is solely SphereZA's efforts or if Vodacom did something too.
What I do know is I have been in contact with SphereZA over the course of today.
My BIS is currently working quite fine right now.
I repeat - I hope it does not degrade again.

Two years, you say?

But here you say it was working fine two months ago?
Ever since last Wednesday the BIS service at my home location has been working really well.
On device web browsing is very fast. I am experiencing no disconnects / time-outs.
Web pages open instantaneously. BBM messages go through immediately. Emails hit my device timeously.
My Blackberry experience is finally working the way it was designed to.

I really don't want to be a spoil sport, but my browsing on BIS still sucks. BBM is fast, but opening websites is dog slow.

@ginggs

Your comments add no value so keep them to yourself.
You CHOSE to selectively quote my original post.

I will quote my full post dated the 9th of June 2012:

"Ever since last Wednesday the BIS service at my home location has been working really well.

I have a feeling the backhaul on the site that serves me has been upgraded by Vodacom.

I will refrain from thanking Vodacom simply because I have suffered for years with the Vodacom BIS service, and choose not be thankful today !
"

So ginggs please desist from being a know-it-all cos you know nothing !!!

If you drive a Porsche, you can afford to buy a real phone (Apple or Android that uses normal PAYU data), not a budget BB on the shoestring budget BIS:D.

A week has past and Vodacom's BIS has worked well throughout.
I hope it stays that way !

Jannie and friends/(enemies) have done something recently cos browsing on my Blackberry has been blazingly fast for the last week.

I'm guessing non-abusive users of BIS and BES such as myself have been unthrottled.

Let's hope it stays this way !

Then you get [post=9160148]this[/post] kind of [-]user[/-] abuser who will try spoil the experience :erm:

Johannesburg has the LTE service now so that's probably why your phone rules now.. For the rest of us it will remain a sucky experience until the end of the year
