Logged in to the Vodacom usage portal last night and noticed something on my account which I was not aware of before...
I have a 500MB bundle with my Talk 240 contract, if not used in the current month this data rolls over and then expires at the end of the next month (expiration of data is a huge bugbear for me but anyway).
It seems that the rollover data is only used AFTER the current month's data is finished, which therefore means that if you dont use all your allocated data for more than two months in a row you are losing out on the first month's rollover! Surely the rollover data should be used up first so that the customer can benefit from a longer cumulative rollover period?
I called the customer care line to enquire about this and was matter of factly told that this is the way it is and there is no way to change the system. I further asked the consultant why Vodacom was allowed to void my unused data after a month yet I was not able to ask for a refund on the data that I did not use - she had no answer for me....
