Vodacom data specials: good news

FFS why don't they make them normal prices and I'm referring to all the networks.?!?!?

Not really - Vodacom 2GB + 2GB for R99 a better deal than Telkom Mobile's 2GB + 1GB for R149.
 
Damn, why can I not pay MyGig 1 – R69 per month for my Bolt on instead of MyGig 1 – R149 :mad::mad::mad:

Might then even take MyGig 2 – R99 per month. :(
 
Can anyone please tell me how to purchase these promotions on top up? Im still paying R49 for 100megs using *111#

Confusing f***fest pricing and products, the typical Vodacom mantra.
I have a Vodacom Contract (yes, shame on me) but would have no idea how to even add on data to my contract or what I would pay.. and I'm sure as hell not in the mood to read 500 pages of confusing marketing jargon crap to figure it out.
Why in heaven's name would a "MyMeg 500" be more than twice the price on a Voice Contract that on a broadband contract? *uugh*

Go f*** yourselves Vodacom, I can't wait to cancel my contract and move to CellC.

Because then they need to file the pricing with ICASA etc ... Basically by running pricing as promotions they manage to circumvent all sorts of regulations (not sure which but look at consumer protection, interconnect. USAF contributions and minimum service). Think of promotional pricing as the "norm" as similar to labour brokers - a reaction to a failing regulatory system. IIRC the pricing that is regular pricing must remain the same for a year. Telkom now has to get approval from ICASA on their tariff proposal even though a lot of their coming to the party hasn't worked its way into the tariff - - meaning that either promotional announcements will be coming or ICASA won't accept the tariffs (which really isn't ideal)
 
R249 for 2Gb on pre-paid? Those okes are smoking some good shyte over there to make up prices like that.

My contract normally approaches R2k/m and then I have to pay more for data than a prepaid subscriber where they have no guarantee of income from them.
 
A person can always do it the other way around if you use a lot of data - take out for e.g. the 2GB contract at R99pm and have them activate telephony on it, and just make phone calls from your data sim. That's if you're ok with not getting a phone on the contract...

I took the R99 2GB on Top Up Data S but they don't really want to let you know you can do that.

If that is the case then I will take MyGig 3 – R169 per month or even MyGig 5 – R259 per month. I will pay more, but thanks to Vodacon's retarded pricing I won't. So there Vodacon .!.. :mad:

and pay standard call rates? I don't feel like bankrupting myself. I bought a new phone in March so it's 4 months old now and I didn't make calls in May as I was travelling overseas. The call counter is sitting on 66 hours and 30 minutes... for 3 months of usage
