Vodacom disappearing airtime and data problem

There will always be the ungrateful ones. Vodacom gives the free data as a sign of goodwill. Vodacom is under no obligation to give the free data as long as it has reimbursed its customers' lost data and airtime.
And what about time or if someone lost on an important deal because of it?

If Jannie were to pitch in here he would probably say "see this is why you can't just change things". But we have to ask what was changed here? It was most probably not something customers asked for like preventing out of bundle usage. So Vodacom most likely fixed something for themselves and it negatively affected users yet things that would benefit users never arrive or stay in development for years.

so, last night I got an SMS from Vodacom saying that they were giving me 500mb of free data but only valid for 3 days (which I won't even be using as I'm on WiFi all day) and they gave back the data that I charged as that disappeared so fast in a day. So, pretty generous of them.

What they didn't do is give back my mom's airtime and data on her tablet, so I'll have to log that with them.

Nope - a slap in the face more like.

It's maybe R50 worth for the week bundle, so R30 or so for the three days at prices they charge to consumers, probably R5 for them cost-price wise. That in relation to lots of people who might have lost business because of it, the entire hassle of it.

Agree with AirWolf.

Happened to me. Turned my vodacom lte router on and around 600meg I had left just vanished. I called them and they gave me around R120 credit. Took about 30 minutes but good enough for me :)

What kind of system do they run, if they can't even figure out by themselves who to refund and how much?

I bought airtime yesterday morning ( 18 September 2018) on Vodacom prepaid for R29. I made 2 calls, 1 for 2 mins 55secs and 1 for 36secs, to find this afternoon that I have just over R3 credit left!
My solution ... Cancelled cards and moved back to cellc through FNB connect. I'm bloody tired of being ripped off for just about everything in this country and having my intelligence insulted by sorry excuses for executives claiming they're angels and don't endorse such practices.

To you lot, I have 2 words ... Go work out what they might be!!!!

Per second billing at R7/min. What probably happened is that he did 12MB OOB.
