So i get phone call from Vodacom, they will give me free upgrade, they promise me R500.00 artime any time call rates @ R1.60 p/m + 500mb Data.
I clearly asked the consultant 4 times about the above which he confirmed.
Now on Wednesday the first i check my balances (*111*) and no 500mb free data.

What can I now do, apparently I am not the only one, no reference number etc.
Cannot believe how they get away with this.:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Never ever do any upgrades over the phone, no matter how tempting the "convenience" is, as later there is very little accountability when these issues arise.

Does that mean there is no way i can take this further, unbelievable how the big corporate companies get away with this.

Guess it doesn't hurt to ask for things in writing from sales people.

I only conclude deals based on written quotes (depending on the product or service)

Install a app on your phone that auto records all your phone conversations, then you have some proof to present next time.In a store you can use your voice recorder to make a record of any promises made.

Is that even allowed, without the consent of the person you wanting to record?

Any contract you enter into, should never be done verbally, no matter the circumstances. You must have physical paperwork, and you must look it over very carefully.
