Vodacom just phoned me now and said the problem with twitch has been resolved. They could not say what the problem was, as it wasn't related to the fibre network.

Anyway, asked them about my poor speeds at peak time and got an :erm: moment from him. So yeah. Great Support :wtf:

I'm surprised he didn't say you need to log a new ticket for that. Lol

Well, if I get home tonight and I still experience the poor speeds, I will log a new call, but I don't know if they will do it, if the old one is still open. If they do, I will log a new call every night from now on.

If you don't mind, download WinMTR and use www.vodacom.co.za as host and let it run for a while while you do some downloading or youtube and then post a screenshot here?

I will do this tonight, do you experience slow download speeds when using a browser to do a download. Maximum i get is 400 kbps on a 100meg line, this is only to international servers

Local download speed tests: Ping goes from 6/7 to 35/40 and download speeds from 98mbps to 42mbps. Upload unaffected.
International has always been poor for me and by poor, I mean 185ms and 40mbps down and 20mbps up.

I have a thread up on the Vodacom Community page, under PC gaming: http://community.vodacom.co.za/t5/PC-Gaming/Twtich-streaming/td-p/8871

Even with this speed, I get constant buffering with twitch. Maybe because of this.

Well it is not working again and I am not surprised - The problem seems to be entire vodacom internet related. I will also try log a ticket.

I have logged tickets and complained on twitter, no support. They are useless. Will have to dust off my hellopeter account, it seems.

Lol I have a 40Mbps up/down and the same thing, thinking off just upgrading to 100Mbps so my Netflix can stream at 1080p

Sorry dude, if you cannot stream with that speed, you won't be able to even after the upgrade to 100mbps.

I am lodging a complaint tomorrow with ICASA. It's been 14days since my first call that I logged.
