Sorry dude, if you cannot stream with that speed, you won't be able to even after the upgrade to 100mbps.

I am lodging a complaint tomorrow with ICASA. It's been 14days since my first call that I logged.
Nice I like the ICASA, maybe give me details so I can do the same, maybe the more complaints they will do something about it? ... Currently streaming Netflix at 480p but really thinking about downloading my series at 1080p so don't have to deal with this crap but Netflix was convenient

Checked with my friend in the same complex as me and he said his getting full speeds , he is a new client so it could be Vodacom slows the speed down after you a client for a while, just my thought lol

This time of the night, I mostly watch twitch streams. Can't download that. :p

Yeah, it doesn't make sense. My fibre was installed 14/02/2018 and only started experiencing this 2 weeks ago.

Same speed and latency issue here, no customer service/support, no acknowledgement of the issue, cannot stream anything.

If I check twitter, multiple complaints from Pretoria to Johannesburg South, definitively not localized.

It seems to recover every evening around 10pm until midday.

It starts to recover, around 10.30pm it is normally back to normal. Latency is also improving as the night goes on. I'm speculating, but it seems Vodacom might have backhaul issues at multiple POPs due to load, as demands decreases service levels pick up. This is unacceptable, they need to solve this. I am also dependent on streaming for entertainment.

I see we are both from Alberton incidentally, however I have seen tweets from as far as Pretoria regarding this.

Do you have a reference number for the issue?

Yes, I have 4. As mentioned before, I have complained almost everywhere, except at ICASA. Always get the generic response: "This has been forwarded to our fibre team"

Will PM you now.

Technically the twitch issue has been resolved about a week ago. During 19:30 and 22:30, I am unable to stream though, because of the poor speeds and packet drops on my line. I use the Twitch 5 extension though and have noticed that if I use the normal site and put the quality on auto, I am able to stream, but at 160p. :erm:

Edit: Should we maybe start a Vodacom FTTH whatsapp group?
