With all the maintenance that happened in Midrand, I wonder what they changed, because I cannot stream twitch on the fibre any more. It opens everything, except the stream. Using a VPN resolved the problem, but then I get buffering. (was a free VPN service). Works on my phone though when using LTE.

Seems like other VC users are also experiencing this on fibre. :( Logged a call, so now we wait.

Seems to be broken as my capped account is also unchanged.

Fine is working again:

I see mine is working now as well. It's slow to load, but streaming fine at 1080p60.

It is down again - Keep that call logged they must provide a reason as well who knows how often this will happen if not fixed for good. Can watch the VODS at least but live is much more preferred.

When it works it's great but our fibre is down again too. Unfortunately not a week goes by where our fibre isn't down for at least a day.

I will moan about this, until the cows come home. They must sort it out.

TBH, if this continues, I will cancel my fibre and go back to ADSL. I only had 10mbps, but never had shyte with it and it's much cheaper.

You should try Vodacom Twitter handler they seem to respond and really escalate it but that helped for me, worth the try

I have tried twitter they told me i need to log a ticket with vodacom, which i have done. I ran some wireshark tests and even on there it shows i am getting blocked packets to twitch, this needs to be resolved ASAP

Yeah, tried the twitter route as well, not a bunch of smart people there. Their responses are quick, but they told me to change my APN and only after a while, they grasped the fact that I am on fibre. Then only they told me that they escalate my call. Still nothing though.

I never thought I would see the day, but I am almost convinced that my problems are congestion related. My slow speeds only seem to happen during peak time and this morning twitch was working again. Pretty sure it will not be working when I get home tonight. Just not getting any joy from Vodacom Support.

Have you tried using Streamlink Twitch GUI instead? I find it greatly improves twitch streaming throughput and almost always gets rid of buffering.

I have the Twitch 5 extension installed on chrome. Never had issues, even with my 10mbps ADSL. This is not a app or extension issue. Regardless, will still give it a shot, during these difficult times. :p

Just to recap, not sure if my problem got lost in translation... I have 100mbps fibre. Since last week tuesday, I have been unable to stream twitch, getting 2000:network error. I can bypass this by using HordVPN. The problem is, I now have 1/2 the speed as well, during peak time where pings go up to 30+- and download speeds @ 50mbps, which should still be fine for twitch streaming, but I suspect the packet drops are the issue for my 2000:Network errors.
