Vodacom fibre

What does "Ne" mean? As Vuma are the ones laying fibre in my street, I am thinking of going for them as ISP. One point of call if there are any issues.

"Ne" = nothing special.
There's cheaper and better offerings on Vuma from other ISP's
Note - Vuma are not an ISP and don't offer ISP services. You'd need to signup with some else.
Visit https://shop.vumatel.co.za/packages/all to see who offers what.

When do the debit order normally go off?

I haven't received any statements and have been using fibre for over a month now. Um and looking at my current data usage it shows that I've used nothing so far this month.

I am in the same situation, was wondering the same thing ..

I did not go for the debit order, as I prefer to EFT. When I phoned them, they said the invoices are generated on the first and I normally get mine on the 7th. I have still to receive their weekly usage mails, but I am starting to think this is generated and sent from their router, as I am not using their router at all.

@Solitude I had to use the solution ID on my invoice to check data usage.

Edit: MM, checked now and I see the same. Last month it was working correctly though.

Thanks SharkBait. I gave them a call and they told me that lots of people were phoning in regarding the data usage not displaying correctly.

They also said that my debit order will go off at the end of this month and will include last month's cost.

Yeah, basically works like their cell contracts. Wish they could add the fibre to the VC App on my phone.

I see it's still not fixed. Wonder if I can start downloading the internet... :p

Our connection has been down since yesterday. I spoke to support and apparently a something or the other is not receiving power and they had to get permission to use generators and only got permission a short while ago.

I won't be surprised if it's because of stolen cables. It's something that has plagues our area for a long time.

Maybe cause he would like to get shaped to 2Mbps when the fup is reached.

Telkom is a bit more per month.

I do see that the first part of Telkom's FUP kicks in when 50% of 6TB has been reach meaning 3TB until you are slowed to half of the 100Mbps line speed.

Vodacom is 2.2TB then you go to 2Mbps.

so Vodacom is coming tomorrow to upgrade me to the 40Mbps package I applied for, I wonder why they need to do it physically at my place, I am sure they can just change it remotely from there side?

Yes, they should be able to do it from their side. I thought you wanted to cancel?

yeah but I changed my mind cause Cool ideas was meant to be one off the fibre ISP in my estate but they don't even have a time frame when they will go live ..

With all the maintenance that happened in Midrand, I wonder what they changed, because I cannot stream twitch on the fibre any more. It opens everything, except the stream. Using a VPN resolved the problem, but then I get buffering. (was a free VPN service). Works on my phone though when using LTE.
