Vodacom increasing prices

This is what cellc did and now Vodacom is doing it. Stay away from contracts. Tomorrow you could be paying more thanks to T&C.

Can someone explain the difference between Smart L and Uchoose Smart L. I have tried to establish via the vodacom site without success.

The Uchoose Smart L is based on top up. You still get the minutes instead of airtime like the other Flexi packages, but when you have used up the minutes/data, you then recharge with airtime.

Vodacom was overly priced ages ago. Paying less than half the price with telkom on sim only package. And its month to month contract

Did you know that if you don't take a device they can drop the monthly charge? I'm on Smart M and they dropped my monthly charge from R300 to R220 because i didn't take a handset/vouchers/free stuff etc.

Still pay a fortune because i burn through that HUGE bundle of 300MB pretty fast...

I am hoping however you have a monthly recurring data bundle on top of that then.

How are they allowed to change the price of existing contracts? Is there any limit to price changes on existing contracts? Do they have to provide any justification to those affected? Seems rather unfair that they could lure customers with a price one day and then increase it the next.

300MB yoh yoh yoh. that is huge.

I will not go without a recurring bundle. I learnt my lesson. Not nice to be slapped with a fat bill. 400MB cost me R800

Thought they wern't allowed to change the price until the contract renews.

When Telkom prices increased I still paid the same amount for my adsl/line, that should be one of the benefits of a contract.

They spotted a grey area and weakness in Icasa.
They figured out that they can increase prices mid contract.

Mobile operators overseas didn't get away with this, but ours will.
