R589 for 3GB
R989 for 5GB

2GB + 3GB to make 5GB, costs less than a single 5GB Bundle - not by much, but it's cheaper and you have 2 months to blow it, instead of one...?

there is absolutely no reason to buy any bundle bigger than 2GB - what's the general idea here?

I really hope they sort this stuff out - Vodacom is generally a good network, actually, but ruined by a stupid system and pricing flaws.

wow. what a rip. and they get away with it cause a majority of their customers simply cant be arsed to check such price discrepensies. what with all their powerful positions and deep pockets. magine if their PA's actually did their jobs and have them realise this.

I would assume this applies to everyone - prepaid and contract users on the vodacom network.

HSUPA is a 3G technology - so forget about "using" it on a GPRS/EDGE connection. You will need a device that is capable of supporting the HSUPA speeds to begin with. Like the Vodafone E172/USB HSUPA Stick if memory serves me right.

Are you guys sure we don't have to activate this service somewhere because I still don't see an improvement in upload speed. 360kbps max.

How long before this service is activated? I have an active 2GB PPDB, still seeing a 384kbps uplink on MDMA, and I just got 324kbps on http://speed.vodacom.co.za/speedtest/

Actually, did we not mess with your profiles for testing at one point? Might have messed with the automatic profile change to 1408.

Ya, cos my yello one says 8192kbps down / 8192kbps up.

Was done for eveyone a few days ago.

I'm seeing 1408kbps uplink now, so it must still be filtering through automatically, thanks.

No, 3.6 down-link is still a chargeable offense @ R49. 1.4 up-link (if your modem supports it) is now free.

So with a E220 you won't see any improved uplink.

Vodacom must stop lying about claiming that HSUPA is now free. This is BS. What happened is that you now only pay the normal data charges of anything between 19c and 200c per MB, and I do not call that free!!!!!!

Vodacom, drop the extortion fee of R49 for faster HSPDA in total and drop your data rates.
