If every one of Vodacom's contract customers pays only R1000 a year on OOB charges... it's over a billion...
And if you read the threads and speak to Vodacom customers, that figure of R1000 is a conservative estimate...
**Technically it can't be that hard to cap contract customers. I personally think that its a very cynical decision made solely for the purposes of extorting obscene OOB fees...
OK. I haven't had a single issue in getting mine for the past 4 months. I just checked. This is so random, but knowing Vodacom's IT from prior dealings - I'm not surprised.
