Vodacom Problems: Slow Throughput, trying to Connect, DNS, High Latency

So a 14 hour downtime im happy to be back online, thank god next month im back on adsl again (touch wood)
 
Working again here. Now ... can I get my prepaid 30-day window extended by 12 hours? And another 36 hours for the time it took to get activated?

Had exactly the same problem this morning too, haven't used it since then, on ADSL now, so I'm not sure if its working, presume it is if everyone else's is though.
 
Latency

I found this on the VC website:

Responsiveness: The latency of interactive applications such as chat and online gaming is reduced with HSDPA, making these applications respond faster.

I don't believe this is true as the fastest I got was around 430ms pings. The ADSL landlines have a much lower latency. When is VC going to upgrade to 3.6 Mbps?

UK & NZ are already looking at 7.2 Mbps

Same symptoms occurring now (in Sandton). I connect (quickly; strong signal) but cannot reach any sites. DNS names do resolve.

I'm connecting fine on pre-paid, but previously only certain people were affected.

Anyone else seeing the same symptoms on pre-paid?

Secretcode, when did this start for you?
 
Ah. Vodacom3g's report earlier in the week was of a problem only affecting prepaid.

v3g - is that problem back?
 
Dammit! Gotta post faster to beat v3g!

Yesterday was fine. Quick connections and good speed. I tried connecting this morning, sometime after 10:30. (And haven't got in at all today.)
