Hi VD

Can you tell my why my network is generally horrible.
I'm in Cape Town, Welcome Estate/Vanguard Estate region, my signal will disappear and my GPRS would just drop. It happens pretty often.

Good Afternoon Guys

We picked up an issue in the Fourways area this is currently in hand with our networks department, clients are reporting no throughput and getting page cannot be displayed errors.
I will provide feedback once resolved

Hi there VD,

I did not have much of an issue over the weekend, but today!
It is even impossible to d/l from local sites.

My location is 800m from your Sunward Park tower (cnr Trichardt and Kingfisher)
Signal strength is -60db on a B970

Since the beginning of May the VC data service has not good at all.
And if it is due to "cell breathing" then the network planning has been lacking.
Please VD, get VC to compensate us for the poor service levels. (reduced service levels = reduced subscriptions)
How can I rely on a service that blows hot 'n cold like this?

Here is elarduspark for the past couple of weeks I have been having very frequent disconnects, yesterday it was horrendously slow, did the IPL and is the confed cup overloading the network?
My speedtest: light hops around between dark blue and light blue.

Hi VD,

Just an update: Connection in Pretoria East appears to be more stable today, and data throughput is much better.

Not sure if VC made some changes / corrections.

Hi MainMeat

i spoke to Regions now they contacted a few guys in the Fourways area and reported it to be working.

I had a call from Vodacom this morning and things are looking good in Mouille Point.

Thanks VD/VCD! :)

Was online the whole of Saturday morning and afternoon.....from about 10am till 6pm...was browsing constantly. Was not disconnected once.

Fourways area.

Last night for me was terrible in the Fourways area - serving site - Leaping_Frog. Was from about 9pm till 11pm.

Had 4 bars of 3G signal.... but it would start off by saying HSDPA.....then switch to 3G but there was no through-put or it was very slow.

Had to disconnect and re-connect a few times last night to load a few websites like gmail......then I finally gave up.

This morning when I logged on everything seemed fine and fast again.

Im in Dainfern Valley, didnt have any problems until yesterday, between where i go to college (Randburg) , to Olivedale, Fourways and then where i live (Dainfern Valley) GPRS, 3G, HSDPA all slow! HSDPA was at GPRS speeds on my laptop (with Voda 64k sim and my phone also with Voda contract). Today its back to normal though :) had great GPRS speeds here at home using my phone and good HSDPA on lappy, maybe they were busy with upgrades or something?

Can they look into the Randburg Sundowner area please. I think it's a tower problem.

Getting about 30 percent packet loss. Timeouts, and slow downloads.

I'm also having problems with VC.I'm in the Mill Hills area in Bryanston.

My speedtest result: http://www.speedtest.net/result/502300856.png.

I tried playing WoW, but I stopped because I can't do anything in the game. Even normal browsing is a waste of time. I've been waiting 5 minutes for an image to load and it's not even a big image.
