Vodacom punts holiday data deals

Why can't we get a contract for the 40GB deal for R499? I'd sign up. Unfortunately, all good things come to end end, in this case; 9th of January.

So again topup contract customers like me take it up the naught?

Its like, I've signed a 24 month contract, but somehow I'm not a contract customer according to VodaCom. Obviously I'm not a special enough.

Good on Vodacom, this is a nice deal.

Only one gripe though, why isn't there "Night Owl" data available for Prepaid users?

Oh I'm just so used to that being the case -> "Oh here is an amazing special deal - too bad you arent a contract customer! Yes we know you signed a 24 month topup contract - not a real contract customer in our eyes."

While reading this, I was automatically thinking... what will I do with 40GB a month... just shows how we've been brainwashed into low data users! I'd still rather support 8ta's 10GB/month for R199... simply cause I hate corporate bullies like VC, MTN, Telkom and MonoChoice!
 
I have been with vodacom for years now. Cell C introduced Whoosh and I saved a lot of money by getting the 5 gig prepaid package. I have no any other reason to stay with vodacom anymore except for their data (which is a little bit less). If MTN comes with a good prepaid data package, then it is a bye bye for me to Vodacom. I don't like contracts. When will these companies understand that we hate slavery. I would rather spend a R150 and buy an 8ta data per month. If MTN comes with the same R499 20 gig deal on a 12 month contract, again it is a loss for vodacom (even contract-haters like myself might reconsider).
 
No Night Owl and No roll over??

Went yesterday to Vodacom Customer Care in Sandton City to get this bundle, but was told (and shown the staff circular and got a copy of it) that Night Owl does NOT apply? Also, there is no roll over till January?? Can VC rep clarify?? PS I am a contract (BB Advanced) customer, and the rep fully aware of this?
