Vodacom`s new branding

Saw the 4U store "branding it" red today, thou Vodacare is all blue =D

Think it was about time, lol having Vodafone live, Vodafone phones ; the red would restore order

Vodacom website is still blue. When is that going to change or is Vodacom only officially unveiling the new brand at the Unlimited Festival tonight?

The new rebranding does not really concern me much. I wish vodacom would rebrand their prices though. They have had some reductions, but are still not comparable to CellC.

Vodacom have too much money 2 destroy their brand. How exactly is the new one better?

Vodacom have waay too much money to destroy their current brand. Seriously, How exactly is the new one better??!

And yes, I am sick of seeing two pathetic red commercials every single ad break.

Cell C launches the first fastest (21.6Mbps) and most affordable mobile broadband ever.

Vodacom, responds with a R200million re-branding campaign.

But how does this help the end user?
Vodacom, you have lost the plot.

It got your attention....

they are probably going to be known as Vodafone SA soon, they're already majority owned by said company.

Screw foreign investments when it comes to telecoms. They just want to milk us dry :\

Vodacon allways the last ones to lower prices. They will be that way till the end

Agreed - apart from the new color, Vodacom have brought no new offerings to market that are game changing.
All I understand is that they did an internal reshuffle. Perhaps they should spend that money internally on change management instead?

CellC has both rebranded and lowered prices before vodacom even did their first rebrand, nevermind lowering prices....

by the time vodacom lower prices, MTN will be Green, CellC will have rebranded again (speculations say blue) and iBurst will have merged with Neotel.

All I can say is...

"Vodacom / fone... Jou Ma Se Whoooooosh ! "

I.AM.SO.SICK.OF.RED.ALREADY.

+1 I say in a years time they will change the name to Vodafone. It makes financial sense.

Or it is a ploy to make everyone happy to see VodaFONE when they do indeed change!
Aaah Vodafone... no more grrrr. RED. VodaCOM.

And VodaFONE will then have to change their branding to blue.

Guess who's getting the most exposure from that R200 million? Cell C :)

Every time I see one of the "red" ads on television now, I immediately think of the new Ferrari ad featuring Trevor Noah. Also, Cell C is still the first network that comes to mind when I see red.

Red. Blood. Dexter...

Agreed, how is bad attention good?

Cell C leave red. Vodacom join red. Goodluck.

With those vodacom red adverts, and the guy sliding down the wall leaving the red paint mark (blood) behind... It reminds me of Dexter.

Cell C have a commedian, Trevor Noah as their new face.

Vodacom could make Dexter, a serial killer their new face! He could come in, one time, and take out their meerkat for good!

Who cares if CellC have a clown comedian as their CEO, Vodacom brought a very good deal to the table, which makes CellC's "awesome CEO" look like an idiot
...it's all gimmicks in the end anyway - stop being a consumer zombie and don't let ANY ads convince you of anything, look at the hard data/facts.

+1 That is all that matters in the end for the consumer.
