Vodacom subscribers complain about connectivity problems

Network has not been up to scratch since 2019. Around the time Telkom started roaming on them.

How can MTN’s network perform way better in the same area when there is no loadshedding happening? Dont they also suffer from theft and vandalism? Cannot be the sole reason for these performance issues on the VC network at all hours of the day.

Granted in my experience all the networks suffer in PTA when there is loadshedding.
 
And this is news? At my previous home in Centurion, where I stayed for 4 years, I couldn't even get 4G. Moved to Paarl, Western Cape last year - guess what! I still don't even get 4G at home! In 2021!!!!

You should invest in a 4G router.
 
VC doesn't care. We are in Three Rivers (Vereeniging) ; Couple of Corporates next to each other and VC just doesn't care. Our signal 1 bar H+ or / 1 bar 4g. They repeatedly just close tickets for poor signal and send "fake" sms's that state a tower being constructed . If you enquire at first , eta is 3-6 months. Then if you encounter again after 3-6 months nobody has any record of this , signal is same or worse and no tower is put up. Going on like this for the last 3-5 years. Corporate admin is pathetic atm. Corporate insurance is worse! Going to move our contracts..... Nice little MTN/Telkom tower outside.

In the past few weeks, several Vodacom subscribers have taken to social media to complain about having bad reception, dropped calls, or no signal at all.

Customers have complained from all over the country, and have said that they are experiencing problems with Wi-Fi routers and phones alike.
Very interesting indeed! Here in welkom is it a constant issue! But Vodacom either ignores or reluctant to fix it. Their too proud of their faults. And then they advertise a superior network!
 
And not to mention the bad customer care service!
Maybe Vodacom can explain why they STEAL one's airtime for a Data Refill when you never asked or signed for it. Today alone, I have had R9.00 taken from my airtime. Multiply that by 1 million accounts and you have a cool R9 million extra revenue that you have STOLEN from your Customers
 
I logged a call about signals a week ago and got a referance number.
This week an sms arrives that my enquiry has been sorted and they closed the log.
No one even bothered to contact me :mad: :mad:
Fcking useless cnts.
 
When asked about the complaints about poor signal, Vodacom told MyBroadband that there is no general issue or outage impacting its network

Vodacom you are a bunch of liers :mad:
 
We've had very poor signal lately in Blouberg - I usually don't get calls, just a sms notifying me of a missed call.

10min into loadshedding - no signal at all.
 
They are and have been kak for years (left them because of costs, OOB, signal), but now every network is just as kak. I have a dual sim on my phone, Cell C main contract and Telkom for additional coverage - mainly data.
Telkom outperforms Cell C all the time, every time for coverage and speed and quality of Data.
I cant comment on VC now but when I was with them, every month there were issues, mainly OOB issues and signal on voice
 
Same in Durbanville. We need to use vowifi in the house. Reception was never great, but allmost nonexisting the last month or so.
 
I would like to cancel my Vodacom contracts. Never more than 2bar signal at home and often none. Calls often dropped. Vodacom have tested signal and say a tower is needed but no time frame for providing. Wi fi fibre signal also drops and signal so weak thay I have to manually reconnect when I notice my phone is on 4G. An excuse to sell more mobile Data? Shockingly bad service. Not getting what I'm paying for
