Vodacom testing my patience! [resolved]

@VodacomData I tried to PM you with a problem I am having (Not worth starting a new thread over) Did you get it? If not let me know and I will resend or something else.

morning VodacomData

Legal department contacted me yesterday and admitted that there has been a problem with some consilidation and thus did not update my records, my only concern is that it took them 7 years to realize it, anyways, everything has been resolved, I just need to wait 7 days for my name to be cleared at the "Credit Provider Association (CPA)", hopefully it will be updated at NCR and all of the other providers also.

Feedback received:
1. settlement letter received
2. apology letter received
3. balance updated as "invalid"

People involed and very helpful:
Yolande Nel
Nassar Berdien

@VodacomData, if I was mean to you in the beginning with my first reply, i do apologize, it was not my intent and i know it was not your fault but i just had enough, just happy that everything is sorted out and that the balance is settled as "invalid".

So once again, thank you for your help.

Hi Eonkruger

No worries , as long as your problem is now finally resolved , i can understand your frustration.

Hi

Sorry , will have a look at it now.

@VodacomData
No use starting a new thread.
Just wondering if you received my PM and Email Re: Service Request: S3-LRD95-53G0 which was closed because consultant does not understand the problem.

Interesting, I just found this complaint. I having the same issue with Legal Collections not calling me back. They promised to get back to me within 3 to 7 days. Eight days have now passed. It is also an issue with an outstanding amount after the data SIM account was converted to pre-paid. I got blacklisted with the credit bureau and was refused a credit card by the bank for "financial misconduct". Vodacom was collecting the money from me by debit order and I have never been contacted about outstanding money. I don't even yet know what amount it is. But fancy blacklisting me for a R112pm account that Vodacom was collecting on, and they closed the account and never mentioned there was money outstanding.

I have already spent a bit of money calling Legal Collections about this, so am not keen on phoning again when this in not my fault. I've sent an e-mail to [email protected] tonight as well to remind them to call me back.

I very unimpressed with being blacklisted. I have over 40 years of good credit record with no late payments. Looking at the above complaint it seems there have been more issues around account closures.

Why did I cancel my Vodacom account? Well I nearly got ripped off twice with these verbal contract upgrades, when what was promised, was not what was delivered. Luckily I also record the phone calls, and the 2nd time was too much. I'll bet you if IN had not recorded the calls, Vodacom would not have "located my phone recordings". That was why I converted to pre-paid last year (have since closed all my accounts at Vodacom). I do appreciate that I at least got an apology from Vodacom the 2nd time around.

But it seems to me that consumers need to be more public about these issues as clearly these are not just one or two isolated cases. I will no longer do business with companies that do verbal contracts, and only they have the recordings of the calls. Vodacom proved that this is not in the consumers interests.

But if Legal Collections does not phone me back tomorrow, then I'm also going to take my complaint public and escalate it.
