Vodacom VoLTE Activation

Do you guys have a VoLTE settings?

My Huawei Mate 10 Pro received an upgrade the other day for VoLTE - but no settings or mention of it within the system. Ockie activated it for me, but not working.

There's no other 'settings'. Just make sure Wi-Fi calling and voice over lte is switched on in your phone settings. Not sure where to find that on Huawei.
If doesn't work, try my suggestion 2 or 3 posts back regarding deactivating international calling.

And there are supposed to be other settings. If I do a Google, I see people turning VoLTE 'on' in settings. I think it's just my handset and Voda don't gel well

4G issue

Hi. How can I get assistance with 4G/LTE issues on my mobile?
 
My Huawei P9 also just got the VoLTE upgrade - but can't do much :/
 
I take it that any phones running vanilla Android such as the Nexus devices and pixel phones will never see WiFi calling or VoLTE.

I assume it's a carrier update that needs to be created for each device for it to work?

Correct. My phone also has volte in its firmware...but because it is not a Vodacom phone with specific Vodacom firmware it does not work.

So who do we get this VoLTE and VoWifi setup ? Must i just call in or go somewhere or is there someone who can help?

But what is bizarre is that both my Huaweis are Vodacom phones bought locally with that horrible red branding.

Both have now recieved the VoLTE update (firmware tested and released by Vodacom) and yet both don't support it on Vodacom ...

Updated my Huawei P10 to Oreo 8.0.0.373 ( finally available last night ) and likewise VoLTE still not supported (on my device) although I heard Vodacom does support it on certain other devices.
 
Would be nice if @jannievanzyl could explain why this is so piss poor.

As usual Vodacom promises and never delivers except under lab conditions at MyBB HQ.
 
Me and my family desperately need WiFi Calling due to the bad reception on the farm. We have a good WiFi connection though. I've enabled WiFi Calling on our iPhones (X, 6S and 5E) but it's not working. I phoned 082135 for help and even though the lady was trying to help by "resetting" the SIM and whatnot it still doesn't work. Is there a Vodacom rep here that might be able to assist me by enabling WiFi Calling, VoLTE and LTE internet on our numbers?

Move to Cell C. I've given up trying to get wifi calling to work on Vodacom. Bought a test sim for Cell C and it was working within 5 minutes of activation.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll test a Cell C SIM and port over if it works. Vodacom obviously don't care, so I'll just take my money elsewhere.
 
Tried again to get VoLTE enabled on a prepaid sim card. They have no idea what I was speaking about, even the team leader said this doesn't exist.

For ****s and giggles I asked about wifi calling and was told no you make phone calls on the phone.
