Voice and data on your android phone simultaneously?

I've recently changed from an iPhone 7 to a Samsung Galaxy S10.

On the iPhone I could be on a call, put it on speaker and then open up Google Maps to find an address and view traffic and also generally have data throughput while on a voice call.
WiFi - off
Mobile data - on

With the S10 once I am on a voice call I am unable to get any data throughput (tried Maps, WhatsApp, Chrome)

Is there a setting or something that I am missing?

Vodacom. The phone is dual SIM and for full disclosure data doesn't work when I'm on the Telkom SIM in slot 2 during a call. Actually it kills the Vodacom data connection when I'm on the Telkom SIM which I think is a phone issue.
 
I found this out earlier this year when I used my phone as a data hotspot for my kids. When a call came in, the data disconnected.

This was on TM as well.
 
Cell C on Galaxy S10+. Data does not work on call. I got so used to it over the years, I thought that was normal.

Lock phone to 4g on both sims, repeat your test

Tested now again. I can navigate, on a call, loudspeaker and watch YouTube at same time.

Same, Mate 10 Pro, dual sim (cell-c calling, telkom- data). Lately though, it has been working more often than not.

Can't pin point specifics when it works or not. Sometimes on the same call (generally at the beginning of the call) it doesn't work then it kicks in.

As far as I know technically it should work on hspa?
