Volvo experiences

I hope that transmission last lol

Comes with powersh1t transmission :(
Apparently (hopefully) all sorted after the early ones. Certainly the Fusion/Mondeo guys in the UK seem very happy with reliability. They do say the transmission should be serviced on schedule (every 80000km). Certainly, I really like it - ultra-smooth changes, very quick.

I'm looking at a S60 2015 T5 Excel (Drive-E)
85 500km on the clock - planning on driving it for about 3 years...

Yay or nay?

Go for it, read the Kinsey report, parts are cheaper (but still expensive as it's a premium car after all) than all it's rivals.

Also you only wait 3 days if the dealership doesn't have stock of a particular part.

Major service for my 320d at bmw was R4600. All the filters and new oil, that's all that was needed.

I have a serious itch for a diesel car and 320d seems to be calling my name.
What year model is yours and how is it treating you.

Mine was 2012. Sold it last year with 200000 on the clock . Original everything just did the services at bmw. Aircon however only blow cold when you on highway lol

Yes they even been fined for selling that crap.

It will break down, its not if it will, it is question when.

They stopped selling them now, as they could not fix it.
The affected Powershift gearbox was the 6DCT250 dry-clutch gearbox. The Fusion has the 6DCT450 wet-clutch, which does not have the same issues.

Earlier in April, we reported on the most-searched-for Volvo models in South Africa. The Volvo XC40 and XC90 are the most favourites with locals. In response to the article, this Wheels24 reader sent us some images of their brand-new Volvo XC90.

Mapholoba Letswalo hails from Nelspruit and says he bought the vehicle for his wife, Elizabeth Leswalo says: "I have been a Volvo fan for more than two to three decades. My first Volvo was a 2004 S40 model which I traded in for a 2008 S40. Since then I bought a 2010 XC90 and have faithfully kept both cars. In 2014, I traded in the S40 for a V40, and in late 2019, I bought my wife the XC90 2020 model-year.

"She's the lucky one to own the new 2020 model. So I currently own the V40 and two XC90 models."
