Vox Telecom Fatpipe

I have one complaint ... at this point. I don't like paying pro-rata for a carry over product. Give me the option of paying the full amount for the full 100gb

My thoughts exactly!

Kinda seems a bit daft to pro rata something that carries over unused data.

Not complaining, just sayin'.

This is my performance right now. Quite terrible.

Then, all of a sudden it's able to stream at full line speed, no problem. This is without me restarting the router or changing anything

I'm getting such conflicted experiences: like this short testing period of about 15 minutes, it was the same in Dota 2 last night- For a few minutes I would have decent ping (33-50), but then there are periods of terrible ping (up to 1000) and DC's. Then not a few minutes later it would be workable.

This is not usable internet, especially for online gaming. Downloading, sure, but as of now, for gaming, it is so terrible I'm considering a cancellation if it's not worked through in due course. I'm not sure how this can be exchange congestion, since this is happening at a time (11PM) where there should not be any. This is also backed up by the fact that similar "speed ups" and "slow downs" are occuring at two time periods 12 hours apart. So far not impressed at all--Not because of speed, but terrible inconsistency of quality.

At least with Mweb it was consistently slower XD, but still worked in gaming.

Well with Mweb gaming has been impossible for me if there was ANY sort of shaping. Only time I could game was over the weekend. Now, with VOX, those problems have disappeared.

Torrents are OK for me, but gaming is a problem. Not sure if it's my line or not. 10210 is still dysfunctional.

Guaranteed the moment you do that you will have a plethora of complaints from customers asking why they weren't charged pro-rata. Agree though, with indefinite rollover there should be an option to pay full price for full allotment. Pro-rata, as the default, is more user friendly though.

I argued over the phone about this ... their system does not cater for that...

Heaven forbid getting an improvement done when VOX's systems doesnt support something.

I know, I tried to get them to do something as simple as updating billing details online instead of mail your CC details over un-encrypted email or phone where anyone can listen in on.

After running some tracerts I'm of the opinion that my exchange is congested. FFS, thanks Telkom.

3 different ISPs, all showing massive latency to 2nd hop

Your local exchange is the issue ... congested? Where in Pinetown? With all the freaking digging going on, I'm surprised there aren't more outages here....

I dont get replies from the local exchange since Telkom updated their dynamic synching system... what are your SNR ?

heres my TracerT

Just spoke to Telkom and the techie confirmed that there is maintenance being done on the exchange that I am connected to in Pinetown. Said that tomorrow at 11 it should be sorted out.

Hoping that is the case. TI matches need to be watched!

Those road works are killer XD. I dread going to that part of town!

Also, apologies to Vox for issuing blame without checking my exchange first. I've just had so many issues before with mweb(youtube and slowness) that I assumed my exchange was not the problem.

This time it seems it is.

Load debit order

I am charged for the 100GB Fat Pipe the full R164 by Debit Order every month. Maybe you can arrange to have a debit order loaded on your bank account as well. Anyway, the Vox 100GB Fat Pipe has been good with the speed thus far on my 10Mbps line:
