Vox Telecom Fatpipe

Am i the only one noticing the severe lack of complaints on this thread? especially for a company that release two massive specials in the last month...
bonus points to Vox for keeping the internet flowing - Managed to pull 64GB in a few days - unshaped goodness!

CvanWie , as a matter of interest,

can you maybe share a report showing additional users, and increase in network usage? maybe just a graph or two - no numbers needed ;)
Really impressed with the level of internet we receive from Vox - Glad you guys are giving the competition something to talk about :D

Well what do you want me to complain about. I can complain about other things, but my internet is not giving me any hassles so no complaints there.

I love these times when internet is just perfect. They never seem to last though :(

I have a lot more faith in Vox where the Systems Architect for their entire network is actively involved in discussions on a forum, than in any other ISP where the standard response is either "There's nothing wrong" or "Send us a traceroute so we can tell you there's nothing wrong while appearing to help".

Yes we as an ADSL community have been burned once to many. but i am however very impressed . Have been using their bolt-on the last 8 months, and it performs amazingly good with all kinds of traffic!

will stick with them :)

They don't last, but, to their credit, this ISP actually have the balls and honesty to tell us stuff here, not even Mr. Kaplan from a certain new ISP would go that far, even though to his credit, he did go some of the way.

For now, for the moment, this is a sweet deal, and as with all things in life, including salary reviews, we will have to evaluate the situation in 6-12 months' time again.

FWIW this post is made, via my VPN, the speed is as if I am connected to the physical LAN in my home. Yet I am quite far away from home :). No ISP has given me this kind of performance before on a VPN or remote login session.

And furthermore, I have been dealing with a company who has their office MPLS connected via AH, and to get into those boxes to work remotely.... *aaaaargh*, it is FEKKING SLOW!

I think this is what you're looking for http://i.imgur.com/TyHKJ4K.png

I noticed quite a drop in speeds (up & down) on Vox yesterday. It's not helping gaming online at all.

Does anyone else notice that Mac App Store downloads are slower than other downloads? I don't think it's an issue with Vox though as everything else is quick. Not that it's slow, but downloaded the El Capitan beta and only came in at a patch 15Mbps whereas other stuff motors at 36Mbps.

Apple downloads and iTunes/MAS access have always seemed to be a bit slow on Vox. However having said that, I just started a download of the OS X 10.10.4 Combo update and it's going at line speed.

There have also been times when it gave DNS failures on Apple addresses but I have not seen them for a while.
