Vox Telecom Fatpipe

Hi guys,

I've verified on the back end systems that the usage is allocated correctly. The problem here is the dashboards aren't updated to display correctly, which I believe I mentioned in one of my initial posts.

Anyhow, it's one thing to hear me say it, and I thought I'd embrace a bit more transparency and show you some back end information to put your minds at ease:

We categorize traffic, here's a list of categories which relate to the image which I'll link below:

7 Social Media - Zero Rated
9 Email - Zero Rated
11 Video - Zero Rated
21 Peer to Peer - Zero Rated
22 Bulk Transfers and Network Storage - Zero Rated
23 Usage that doesn't match any other category - Zero Rated

Here is a sneak peak under our hood at our usage parsing system where billing pulls details from:

You will see the categories on the left and the usage on the right. You will also see the SQL query performed to pull said data. I'm not explaining what SQL is!

I hope this puts everyone at ease, if not, ask, but not about SQL.

Regards,
Chris

Apologies if this was asked before, but is rx and tx in bytes? If so, shouldn't you be dividing each time by 1024 and not 1000 to calculate kilobytes, megabytes and gigabytes?

I'm interested in signing up. Can anyone shed some light on the below for me please?

* What are the prices for the top-ups per gig on fatpipe?
* Have the performance issues been sorted out yet? - I'm big on streaming, not so much downloading, so I'd like to know if it's back to normal.

Thanks

1024 is binary prefix, and 1000 is decimal prefix. For instance gibibit is 1024 (2^30) whilst gigabit is 1000 (10^9).

Yo is the midnight free thing active??

Between 12 and 6 I used 4gb?

And dead for me. Says my cap is exceeded on bolt on hahaha

This was my fault, I'm sorry.

I fixed the bug causing this problem.

This bug would have only affected Fatpipe + Bolton customers. These accounts were migrated and shouldn't have been, and when rolled back, they retained a flag about being the new Fatpipe. I added some code for now to cater for this anomaly and will properly fix the accounts on Monday myself.

If you have Fatpipe + Bolton and you find yourself capped, reconnect to the internet and let me know if you are still capped.

Thanks.

Regarding latency issue in Cape Town, Telkom never got back to me on Friday therefore no testing this weekend.

I'll be escalating again on Monday.

My internet is VERY slow with VOX. I have just come back from holiday to discover that my internet is fscked! I have changed to a different VOX account and same story. Power cycled modem, no joy. Latency is high around 200ms and don't even get 4mb speeds. This is not acceptable. What is going on?

Well I signed up with Vox and haven't received any indication on when my service would become active. Slightly annoying, this and lack of support doesn't inspire much confidence.

You should get an email with login details.

What part of the country? Add a trace route.
