Vox Telecom Fatpipe

Credit to Vox - had a PAP authentication failure over the weekend (line dropped early hours of Sunday morning) - sent a mail and raised a ticket with the issue. After testing other ISP accounts I had established this was an issue with their authentication server and nothing on my end. 08:00 on Sunday morning a support person phoned me and after 2 minutes and a router reboot from my side I was able to authenticate again. Although I would prefer 24/7 support - the fact that I did not have to sit waiting on the line listening to pan flute renditions of love ballads, made the experience a positive one. My only criticism is that there was absolutely no indication on the Vox website or any of their social media that there was an authentication issue. When I spoke to the support consultant he told me that it was a known issue by the time of our call - so why not just put up status notices? Would have made my troubleshooting a LOT quicker! I welcome comments from the Vox rep on that. Thanks!

I am on a R159 account. It started at 100Gb in December then they upped it to 150Gb a few months ago. It has not been increased this time around. I spoke to support and they said you will have to wait till December to see. Spoke to someone else in support they said it will not increase further. I then asked if they could downgrade me to the R99/100Gb package since that is cheaper per Gb. He said no that is only for new customer.

So I sent an email to cancel my account so and either resign for the R99/100Gb deal or go with another ISP. It is ridiculous the hoops that need to be jumped through.

Edit: So it looks like they let you cancel your account with intimidate effect and then just sign up again. Although you loose your rollover data the account is free till February so it is defiantly worth it since I am only using about 70Gb per month.

That is very unfortunate, they should reconsider that

:D

Got the same account. Have about 1tb rollover. Now I wonder if it's worthwhile downgrading .... hmmm

Don't think it's a good idea taking over accounts, unless VOX changes ownership. What if I upload kiddie porn under your name ?

lol, once logged in you can change the contact details and payment details of the account holder

I'm happily chugging along with no issues what so ever, sometimes living in the North has its advantages.
