Vox Telecom Fatpipe

Thanks for stating the obvious. I was enquiring if someone has found out why Vox is selling it like this. Capped is capped if I want to split it into 2 or more locations, I still only get to use the xxxGB I bought.

Yes but forecasting is a bitch for the ISP. I'd like an ISP with solid performance, and I'm willing to give up things like concurrent connections for it.

**** you don't downsize my sarcasm.

:D

Then you should have asked "Can someone with insight into how Vox configures their products explain why they have chosen to configure their capped accounts to allow for a single connection only" and directed the question at Voxy or cvanwie.

:D

Signed up for the Fatpipe 100 this morning. I am not sure what to make of the account. Latency is amazing. Throughput varies dramatically. Can't stream MTN Frontrow or Twitch. Apple update slow. Anybody else in Durban experiencing this?

Okay, just tested twitch and was fine, no buffering, i kept switching between high and source quality, still didn't have any issues....

Just signed up for the 100Gb special. Awesome deal. Kicked my Openweb capped account.

For those that are wondering. I was using Vox for long and they always had unlimited concurrent connections. This became a problem when they launched the R59 uncapped bolt on which meant that people could share the account and hammer it.

They reduced the concurrent connections to 1. Why fatpipe? Back then bolt on was able to be bolted on fatpipe accounts and I guess they saw limiting it to 1 was the best solution.

My friend still has his 100GB fatpipe with R59 bolton. Best account Vox ever sold but also financial ruin.....

I can't decide if I should cancel my 50Gb fat pipe + bolt on and move to the 100Gb special or keep it.

I've got 465Gb accumulated and I've been on this account for over a year. Never reached the 50Gb cap.

Same experience in Durban. Latency consistent, throughput highly variable. Apple updates / services range from blazing fast to a snails pace. Not sure about MTN or Twitch, but Vimeo and YouTube stream reliably.

No issues here in DBN.
